Panama City Beach, also known by its abbreviation PCB, is located in the suburb of Panama City in Florida’s northwest region. It gazes over the Gulf of Mexico in the Bay County area. In 2000, it has more than 7,600 residents in its 7 square miles by 6.9 square miles district. The place, also nicknamed as “The World’s Most Beautiful Beach”, is of one the state’s most popular tourist destinations because of its fine white sand, clear seawaters, and great sun.

Many college and high school students from across the country visit the beach every year during the Spring Break season. In particular, the well-known student beach resort - La Vela have been an avid place for parties, gimmicks, and teen jams. Aside from students, the beach has also been an ardent tourist destination for many northern Americans and Canadians especially during the winter season.

The restaurants on the beach offers menus ranging from continental cuisine to international dishes - a definite must in terms of waterfront dining experiences. Hollywood Beach is clean and environmentally friendly, making it a deserving  Blue Wave Beaches awardee, a recognition given by the clean beaches council of Washington, D.C. In terms of safety, Hollywood Beach is among the best. Eagle-eyed lifeguards are on duty to ensure everyone s safety and provide assistance. After dining in one of the beach s restaurants, a romantic evening walk is pleasant experience with no sun glaring in the horizon unlike the beaches found in the west coast of Florida. The beach also offers the best spot to watch cruise ships as they come and go from Port Everglades. Even some parts of the beach are wireless, so beachgoers can bring their laptops along. Hollywood Beach definitely offers the best of vacation  the relaxing and calming atmosphere of a beach without leaving civilization.
