It may have been Monica’s big Mother’s Day party….but the talk of the evening was Lil’ Wayne’s set.  Weezy, who performed three songs, gave a very "intimate" shout out Sunday night at Liv to Trina and appeared to still have some "feelings" for the queen of Miami.  Perhaps it was Trina’s A.L.C. Delilah Silk Shirtdress, Christian Louboutin Riviera Trash Clutch, and Casadei Cutout Platform Sandals that had him wanting that old thing back.

He and his homie screamed into the mic asking her to come on stage, and Lil Wayne said he just had to let her know he "misses her and loves her."  Ahhhh that never dying hood love.  Too bad she’s moved on with OKC baller and the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year James Harden.

Meanwhile, Monica threw a fab party and had some fun with her husband Shannon Brown along with her cousin Ludacris and his girlfriend Eudoxie.

During a recent radio interview, Royce Reed revealed how she felt about the "BBW" backlash, where she stands with the cast and if she is still with Dezmon Briscoe.  Deets inside….

Royce Reed called in for some "Girl Talk" with TT Torrez on iPower 92.1 talked about all the drama on “Basketball Wives.”  No subject was off limits as she dished on loving Dezmon, fighting with Shaunie and Evelyn and the "BBW" backlash.  Check out the highlights:

On why Shaunie refuses to film with her:

Royce says she has no idea what Shaunie is upset with her about. She reached out to Shaunie but never received a response. Royce then went on to say Shaunie had issues with her doing interviews but Royce says she’s only defending herself.

On her relationship with Jennifer Williams:

She says she and Jen are cool. They both apologized to each other and are moving forward.

On celebrities saying “Basketball Wives” promotes bullying:

Royce said at one time she quit the show because she felt it was going the wrong route. She said she fought to have producers show another side of her and that’s why we get to see other aspects of her verses just seeing her fuss and fight with her castmates.  She added that the show was like a mirror for her and helped her to change her life for the positive.

On Tami’s actions on the past two episodes:

Royce said she sees where a lot of people are coming from when it comes to her attitude. Royce explained why she never took sides and said what Tami DID and how she reacted was wrong. She said there’s another side of Tami that’s loving and funny. 

On her having to be in a relationship and her relationship with her dad:

First Royce breaks down her previous relationships on the show. She then talks about her relationship with her father explaining how it’s hard for her to talk to her dad because of the way he speaks to her. She credits the show for opening up a line of communication between her father and herself and they are now at peace.

On her relationship status with Tampa Bay baller Dezmon Briscoe:

She says she and Dezmon are good. As far as the situation that happened on Twitter between Dezmon’s baby mama and her, she says it was crazy. She claims although him texting her was wrong, Dezmon has NEVER cheated on her and that the whole situation was extremely messy. She said she’s not leaving him because the world is telling her so.

After rumors hit the net earlier this evening that Tia Mowry (as well as her on screen husband Pooch Hall) decided not to return to her lead role on BET’s "The Game," she’s officially OUT!  Tia confirmed the rumor via her Twitter, saying she wants to focus on a few of her upcoming projects instead.  Damn homie.

Just moments ago, Tia Mowry, who plays the selfish yet lovable lead role of "Melanie Davis" on "The Game," revealed to her fans that she will not be back for the sixth season of the hit show.

The new mom stated via her Twitter:

"Just wanted to let all my fans know that I will not be returning to The Game for season 6. It was an incredible run and I had lots of fun along the way. I am looking forward to my upcoming projects…the release of my book #OhBaby [today!], season 2 of @TiaTameraShow on @mystyle premiering in June, and my @ABCFamily movie coming out in December…more to come!" love u so much

Wow.  While "The Game" is definitely not as good as it previously was when the CW was its home, I don’t want to see it tumble completely because the major cast is leaving.

Tia’s departure indeed comes as a surprise as she never gave any indication that she was contemplating leaving the show (and did not mention this on "The Wendy Show" this morning, and in fact, was instrumental in bringing it back to tv after the CW dropped it. 

TheYBF.com reached out to both BET & Tia’s rep for a statement, before Tia released her own, and both were blindsided by the possibility of her leaving.  Interestingly, both of the projects Tia mentioned–her reality show and her ABC Family movie–have already been shot and are completed/near completion.  So it’s unclear as to how a new season of "The Game" would interfere.  It sounds like somebody didn’t get their salary minimum. 

Oh wells.  Good luck chick. 

And as for Pooch Hall, he hasn’t confirmed either way.  But on May 5th, the actor–who plays Melanie’s loving football star "Derwin Davis," confirmed that BET was in the midst of working out a new contract.  Whether or not that actually went through is yet to be seen.

The season 5 finale goes down June 5th, 10pm ET.
 

Tia Mowry-Hardrict stopped by "WENDY" earlier to promote her new book "Oh, Baby!" and to dish on being a mother.  Get the deets inside….

Tia Mowry-Hardrict stopped by "WENDY" today with her son, 10-month-old Cree this morning.  She joked that he pooped on the way to the show so they were a little late.

She dished with Wendy about her first Mother’s Day saying she spent it at the spa getting a facial and then having dinner with her 33-year-old husband Cory and Cree.

They also chatted about twin sister Tamera being pregnant.  Tia said she "guessed" the pregnancy because Tamera wasn’t drinking wine and threw up in the car while they were shooting their reality show in Utah.  And she added that this season, their reality show "Tia & Tamera" will be about Tia balancing being a working mom and Tamera living in 2 places (in Napa Valley with her husband and working in LA).

When talking about breastfeeding and the TIME Magazine cover, she said she did it with Cree for 3 months but thinks at a certain point children should should move off the nipple….like when they have teeth!

So what has she learned about motherhood and pregnancy?  She revealed that it increased her sex drive, but her husband Cory was not on board because he says it felt like they were haivng a threesome!  She also added that she urinated when she laughed and had uncontrollable gas!

Tia later answered questions from pregnant women in the audience.  She dished on cute "mommy" clothes saying she loved maxi dresses and blazers. She later cautioned that you should stay away from big earrings that the baby will pull on.

An audience member also asked her about C-sections and she said the benefit is that it leaves you with a tight vajayjay but you will need additional help after delivery becausde of your recovery time.

President Obama stopped by "The View" today to discuss a range of topics from Wall Street reform and gay marriage to fun stuff like singing at the Apollo. Watch clips inside…..

Earlier today, President Obama stopped by "The View" where he was initially expected to make his first public announcement about same-sex marriage (but that was later trumped by a "GMA" interview with Robin Roberts).  After a little good natured ribbing about the scoop, he talked to the ladies about a wide range of subjects.

When asked if he ever got angry with Vice President Biden for being so outspoken, he said that he appreciated honesty and persons who spoke their mind.

When speaking about gay marriage, he trumped up the importance of the word "marriage" saying civil unions made gay couples feel "different."  He added that he knows this is a hot button issue but didn’t think it would be a deciding factor in the election.  He thinks the economy will be the biggest issue.

During one funny moment, Sherri asked him if he thinks the election will be "tight" and the President joked, "When your name is Barack Hussein Obama it will always be tight!"  The crowd loved it.  

When talking about Chase bank, he said that even smart people make mistakes.

And when Elizabeth asked how he would grade his administration, he said he’d give them an incomplete.

We also learned fun facts like "sports" are his guilty pleasure, he coaches Sasha’s basketball team, he loves guacamole and chips, and the First Lady Michelle is a little bit "jealous" that other folks get to hear his singing voice.

Artist Rohan Marley–Lauryn Hill‘s ex and father to 5 of her kids–just got engaged to his girlfriend of about a year, model Isabeli Fontana.  The latest development in this alleged love triangle inside…

39-year-old Rohan Marley has made his reggae love official for his 28-year-old Brazilian model girlfriend Isabeli.  The twosome, who hit up the 2012 Met Gala last week (above pic), has confirmed their engagement to the Brazilian newspaper, Terra.

Last year, Rohan denied being the father of Lauryn’s 6th child–even though many believed they were still very much together in private–and started dating Isabeli while Lauryn was pregnant.

Now, Isabeli has confirmed the two are headed to the alter…in Ethiopia–the birthplace of Rastafarian culture…at some point in the near future.  Isabeli told the newspaper:

"Rohan told me that we must return to their origins so that the marriage will last forever."

Oh….ok.  This will be Rohan’s second marriage (his first was to his college girlfriend) and Isabeli’s third marriage.  Yes, third.  She has two sons–1 from each previous marriage.

According to Huff Post:

Marley, a former college football player, now runs a coffee company and has a line of headphones. Fontana has modeled for Victoria’s Secret, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Revlon, Ralph Lauren and others, as well as serving as the face of Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb fragrance. She also appeared in the 2011 Pirelli calendar, and she recently received waaaay too much self-tanner in that now-infamous H&M bikini ad. The couple recently attended the 2012 Met Gala together.

With the Summer Olympics going down in London this July, the magazine world is taking notice of the fittest bodies around.  Namely, for their cover, Serena Williams, soccer star Hope Solo & swimmer Ryan Lochte.

In the Annie Leibovitz-shot feature, the Olympic hopefuls pose in their swimsuits and fashionable sports gear while showing off their toned and rock hard bods.  It’s a good look for the fashion designer/nail tech/top tennis player in the world.

BONUS: Dwyane Wade is also featured in the issue alongside model and ballet dancer Karlie Kloss for a spread where some of the top 2012 Olympians are featured.  Dwyane spoke to VOGUE about his upcoming 3rd Olympics:

While his wife will be busy holding down Memorial Day Weekend in Atlantic City, Jay will be doing his thing Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.  At the Philadelphia Museum of Art today, Hov and Philly Mayor Michael Nutter announced a two-day music festival called Budweiser Made in America.

Jay’s Philly artist Freeway hit the stage during the announcement, as Jay told the crowd:

"Everyone knows my love affair with Philly from the amazing, talented artists I’ve signed from here…Whenever I enter into a project, I try to hit on some touch points. The first thing is: Is it great?  The second one is: Is it gonna push the culture forward?"

And he plans on pushing the culture forward by serving as curator himself on 3 stages and 30 acts throughout the festival at Fairmont Park Sept. 1st and 2nd.  And the acts won’t just be hip hop–there will be an eclectic lineup of rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance.  This will be interesting.  Almost like he’s trying to start his own Coachella. 

By the way, Jay is continuing his partnership with UnitedWay by announcing that a portion of all proceeds will benefit the non profit organizations United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. 

No other acts–other than himself–have been announced, but since his speed dial likely consists of Beyonce, Kanye West, Coldplay’s Chris Martin & others–we wouldn’t be surprised if they make the list.  Gotta love music for a cause.

Despite Kim K. publicly saying in an interview on the "Today Show" just weeks ago that she would never put her personal relationships on her show again, she went and did just that.   The official confirmation about Kanye joining the Kardashians, plus Teyana Taylor signing on with Mr. West, inside…

In the most predictable news of the day, Kanye West has been confirmed as making an appearance on the upcoming season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."  Typical easy publicity tool for the culture vultures that are the Kardashians.  And what Kanye is gaining out of this–other than the obvious–who knows.

The rapper was in L.A. this weekend to spend some time with his boo at the Laker game, (above) her L’Uomo Vogue photo shoot (VOGUE Italia’s editor corrected Kim after she tweeted it would be for VOGUE Italia), and reportedly Kourtney Kardashian‘s baby shower.  Kim flip-flopped on her previous statements about guarding her romantic life and and told E!‘s reporter today:

"I want to show my life.  If we are having dinner and he does show up, I’m sure we’re not going to go, ‘Stop the cameras!’"

Yes, because the end of days would ensue if that family stopped rolling the cameras.  She continued:

"I’m not going to be taking a bubble bath and drinking champagne or on a sex swing [on camera] like Khloé [Kardashian Odom] and Lamar [Odom] do," Kim said. "It’s not going to be like that."

"My heart’s a little more guarded," she said. "I showed so much of myself in the past. You almost get embarrassed showing this big wedding, which I would have had cameras or not. So I think you want to just guard yourself."

And Us Weekly claims Kanye is working on a new track about Kim–where he dreams of "wedding bells".  Interesting that Us Weekly has never once talked about a rap song before it’s been released, but they conveniently know all about Kanye’s new one–with the lyrics:

"Now she back in the club in a tight dress with dreams of someday wearing a white dress," he says in a new rap. "Even though I met you in the club in a tight dress/At first sight I could picture you in a white dress."

Here we go….

In other Kanye news, 21-year-old Teyana Taylor, who opened for The Game‘s European "Red Tour" late last year, has just been signed to his G.O.O.D. Music label.  She’s jumped ship from Pharrell‘s StarTrak label–which she was signed to at 15–to join the fellas over at Def Jam. 

According to the press release, "Kanye has signed Teyana Taylor, the multi-talented young singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer/choreographer, and actress to G.O.O.D.’s expanding artist roster."

Details of Teyana’s first album and single releases will be revealed in the weeks and months ahead. Meanwhile, her first mixtape, The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor, released last month, has spun off a pair of hot new tracks: “DUI” featuring fellow Def Jam artists Fabolous and Jadakiss, and “Make Your Move” featuring Wale. The mixtape, according to the press release, evokes classic ’80s and ’90s R&B, paying homage to Teyana’s influences including Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, and especially Lauryn Hill.

Not gonna lie–I love her "Marvin’s Room" cover "Her Room." But didn’t Teyana deny the fact she was signing with Kanye just a few months ago on The Breakfast Club?  Whatevs.  Congrats anyway.
