Drake teamed up with his unrequited love Nicki Minaj on his newest track off his upcoming Take Care album. Check out their "Make Me Proud" collabo inside…
For the official second single, produced by T-Minus, off his new LP, Drake went the quick-spitting route to relay his feelings about the Barb and all the females he respects who are doing their thing. So it was only fitting to add the chick he’s publicly proclaimed…many times now…that he wants to marry.
About the emotional single, Drizzy told MTV News:
"Whenever I make songs surrounding women, I always try to find refreshing stances to take as opposed to just like, "Oh, you’re sexy" or "Oh, I want you." The song, it really came up in passing conversation, just being like, "I’m proud of you." "
"Not even necessarily that a woman has to go achieve grandiose things to be proud; it’s just that I’m proud of you for trying. It’s hard to be a woman out here these days, especially to be pretty and especially to be smart and want something for yourself. So I’m just proud of you whether it’s Nicki or any girl that I’ve ever known in my life that’s doing well for herself."
"It’s a dope thing to say, like, ‘Go out there and make me proud.’ And you don’t feel uncomfortable as a man saying it."
He’ll be performing this live on October 15th when he hits "Saturday Night Live" as their musical guest. Take Care rolls out November 15th.

It’s a terribly sad day for music, as 27-year-old troubled soulful singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment earlier today. Though there isn’t much information on how or why she passed away so suddenly, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that they had found a body of a 27 year old woman dead in her apartment.
Amy has battled alcohol and drug abuse for years, a struggle that has been highly publicized by the media and taunted by many. In 2007, her battle became worse after her public split with the love of her life, Blake. In a 2008 Rolling Stone magazine article, she described being at a low point after parting with her husband:
With her husband gone, Winehouse slid into a despondent place. She canceled her tour at the end of 2007, saying, “I can’t give it my all onstage without my Blake. I felt like there was nothing to live for. ”
A member of the British paparazzi expressed his concerns to the magazine, saying:
I just want for her to get better. I’m hoping someday for that set of pictures of her riding her bike in the park or something healthy.”
We shared the same sentiments, always hoping that she would find peace within and get better, but that day never really came. Earlier this year, there were positive reports that she was beginning to turn her life around until just last month when she made headlines after a performance in Belgrade, Serbia. During the set, she had trouble with basic functions like standing up straight, remembering her own lyrics or using a microphone. A sight that was hard to watch and a sign that trouble was near. After that performance she canceled the remainder of her European tour, and many hoped she would get help.
A month later, she is no longer here with us. She died at the dreaded cursed age of 27, joining other musicians in the ‘27 Club.’ Other classic musicians that passed away at that age include Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain.
May she rest in Peace. She will be greatly missed.
Celebrities have taken to Twitter to react to the singer’s untimely death, offering their condolences:

Kelly Rowland has had a great 2011 thus far with the success of her number one single ‘Motivation’ from her forthcoming album, ‘Here I Am,’ dropping next Tuesday. She recently chatted with BET about her feelings on finally being a number one artist, her 2011 BET Awards performance (which included a little kiss on the neck from Trey Songz), and her response to producer Jeff Bhaskerwho said her hot song had the “weakest beat” and “worst melody”:
On Her Feels On Being a #1 Artist
“Number one feels like number one. It feels wonderful. Especially for it to be on the charts so long. I think ‘Motivation’ opened up a different chapter for me. It really did.[...][The album] is along the same lines when it comes to an urban sound. When I listen to everything back to back, when I was sequencing it, that’s when it felt really good in my spirit.”
On Performing at the 2011 BET Awards
“I was dreaming about performing on the BET Awards stage. I would dream and pray about it. When you ask God for it , he’ll deliver. Then he wants to throw Trey Songz in it. Trey and I had really great chemistry. We rehearsed. We were prepared and excited.[...]I wasn’t expecting that kiss, trust me. I didn’t even know he did that until after. When you’re on stage and you’re moving…it was really weird.”
Jeff Bhasker, a producer responsible for cranking out hits for artists such as Alicia Keys and Kelly’s friend and former Destiny’s Child group member Beyonce, took to Twitter recently to bash ‘Motivation’ and it’s chart-topping success:
“How can this KR song with the weakest beat and melody of all time be the #1 song on urban!? Oh yeah. [Lil] Wayne.[...]I just listened to ‘Motivation’ again to see if I was to harsh in my critique. I wasn’t. The lyrics are horrid as well.”
Kelly responded to the producers criticism by shaking it off
“You know what, the record speaks for itself. Opinions are like **sholes, everybody’s got one. He’s made wonderful music with my sister and other artists. There’s no reason for me to say anything negative. Cause I won’t tell you the thought that is really in my head. I’ll just kill ‘em with kindness.”
In other words, he’s opinion is a non-muthaf*ckin factor!
Will you be picking up Kelly’s new album next week?

Bey season continues as Mrs. Knowles-Carter just dropped her second video from her #1 album, 4. In the visuals for her official second single, Best Thing I Never Had, Beyonce is donning uber sexy bridal lingerie and a gorgeous wedding dress.
Not to mention this is about as close as we’re going to get to seeing Beyonce’s real-life wedding. Check out the brand new video inside…
In her brand new visuals, Beyonce reflects with “vintage video” on her boyfriend from 1998 who treated her badly and was more into other women than her.
It’s the story of what happens after the prom when the high school sweetheart who broke your heart turns out to be the best thing you never had. You move on and find true happiness.
The video plays out with the words of the song saying she’s glad he never turned out to be “the one.” And as she dons an amazing wedding dress from Baracci Beverly Hills, she contemplates what she’s been through that led her to walk down the aisle with the man of her dreams. Her reception dress is by Vera Wang.
Here’s the Diane Martel directed vid:
Beyonce Knowles still topped the charts for her first week album sales, despite controversial reviews either loving her album 4, or completely hating it. She’s 4 for 4, beating out projected sales and securing her 4th #1 album.
Find out just how many units she actually pushed here in the U.S., when you read on…
Hits Daily Double reports Beyonce’s full first week (last Tuesday to yesterday) of sales in the U.S. came out to 313,420 units sold.
4 leaked 3 weeks early and the “Girls” singer struggled to nab a Top 10 hit single. Still, with little promotion in the U.S. prior to the album release, it’s #1 with a hefty amount of sales.
She also sold about 164,000 albums internationally the first day of its release (a day before it was actually released in the U.S.) and the album was reportedly immediately #1 in 25 countries.
Last year, the Columbia artist moved 482,000 albums the first week with her “I Am…Sasha Fierce” double album.
