As the old show biz adage goes, “The show must go on.” And this saying never rang more true than tonight, as the 2012 Grammy Awards had to carryon while music industry mourned the loss of one of the greatest voices of our time, Whitney Houston.
Despite tweeting about the loss of Houston earlier in the day, Bruno Mars kicked off the show with a stellar performance of ‘Runaway Baby,’ which Skylar Grey was really feeling!
Electronic newcomer Skrillex was celebrating his three Grammy Awards via Twitter, but not for too long as fellow-DJ deadmau5 sported a t-shirt on the red carpet with Skrillex’s phone number emblazoned on it. He’s got jokes!
Meanwhile, stars like Jessie J and Nicki Minaj were applauding performances by Chris Brown and, of course, Adele throughout the night.
