Music’s most powerful couple, Jay Z and Beyonce appeared at a memorial for Trayvon Martin today. See pics inside as well as pics and video of Jay Z performing with Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys at Yankee Stadium and the afterparty pics,
Earlier today, Jay Z and Beyonce attended the ‘Justice for Trayvon Martin’ vigil where they posed (atop) with Rev. Al Sharpton and Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon’s mother.
The vigil began with a rally in Harlem before moving down to Lower Manhattan where a peaceful protest and rally was held.
While speaking at the National Action Network Headquarters, Sybrina told the crowd;
“George Zimmerman started the fight and George Zimmerman ended the fight,” Fulton said. “My son died without even knowing who his killer was … Today it was my son. Tomorrow it might be yours.”
As for how she felt about the verdict, Sybrina said, “We have moved on from the verdict. Of course, we’re hurting. Of course we’re shocked and disappointed. But that just means we have to roll up our sleeves and fight.”
And Friday night……
Jay Z threw on a fitted cap and rocked the mic at Yankee Stadium for a sold-out concert.
The show was his first USA stop on the "Legends Of The Summer" tour with Justin TImberlake.
Jay performed crowd favorites like "99 Problems", "Hard-Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)", and HGMC tracks "Tom Ford" and "F—WithMeYouKnowIGotIt".
And fellow NY native, Alicia Keys, did a crowd-pleasing cameo.
After Justin put a blues-styled spin on the classic "New York, New York", Jay brought out Alicia to sing the hook for "Empire State of Mind."
Backstage, Alicia was spotted with her husband, Swizz Beatz (who’s produced some of HOVA’s biggest hits).
And after the concert….it’s the after party!
Following the concert, Jay and Bey headed over to 40/40 for the official Legends of The Summer after party.
After grabbing a few nibbles, Jay and Bey joined their guests and sipped on D’USSE cocktails.
We imagine that Beyonce must have hopped on a private jet right after the Trayvon Martin rally since she’s booked to perform in Detroit tonight.

Alicia Keys covers the July issue of MARIE CLAIRE UK where she dishes on traveling, becoming a film director and what she’s learned from Swizz Beatz. See the highlights inside and see "Hit The Floor" star Logan Browning in KONTROL magazine.
Alicia Keys jetted to the Bahamas for the steamy July cover of Marie Claire UK magazine. And we’re absolutely loving this dress for the cover shot.
While modeling looks from Gucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Versace and Just Cavalli, the "Girl On Fire" singer opened up about her loving of traveling,
‘Im really looking forward to having a really incredible time on my travels. I think that to be able to tour and travel the world at this time in my life is different than any other time, and I’m really looking forward to experiencing it in a way I never have before. I’m going to places I’ve never been, you know, it’s a lot of growth, so I’m excited.’
Also, she talked to the magazine about asking for what she wants, becoming a film director and how she’s grown to appreciate her husband and his over the top personality. Here are the highlights:
On Swizz Beatz being "over the top"…
‘Swizz will have the fastest car, the biggest jewellery, the loudest jacket; everything with him is really over the top. I used to see him and think, "He is so annoying".’
On what she’s learned from Swizz Beatz…
‘I think we’ve taught each other a lot. He’s taught me to live more fully and I think I’ve taught him to live more deeply.’
On writing songs about her husband:
‘"That’s When I Knew" is definitely an ode to my husband… Honestly I didn’t really like him that much. I thought he was too ostentatious.’
On becoming vocal about her feelings…
‘You have to speak up. To say, ‘I don’t like that, it’s not cool, don’t do that to me’, but it’s not easy, especially with people you love. I think getting older has made me evolve in a lot of ways and made me more relaxed about saying how I feel, no matter what.’
On maintaining balance…
‘I realise you have to have a balance – you can live life and have more experiences as well as working.’
On becoming a director…
‘I fell in love with directing. Because first of all I didn’t have to get up early for make-up and, second, I’m a very diplomatic individual.’

Also on the newsstands…
Fomer child star Logan Browning (Bratz: The Movie, "Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns") turned VH1′s new spicy "Hit The Floor" star posed for the beauty issue of KONTROL which features pieces on “What to Wear Now” column and segments on secrets to obtaining soft skin and luxurious hair. While opening up to KONTROL, Logan talked about making the on-screen switch from teen roles to more adult fan fare and how she hoped to be received by Hollywood and her fans. Here are the highlights:
On taking on more mature roles in Hollywood:
“I’m excited for people to see me as older because I see people online going, ‘Wow I’m sure she’s going to be really beautiful when she grows up,’ and I’m like, ‘I am grown up!’” laughs Logan. “Playing older is fun because I feel like I’ve been 16 for so long.”
On playing a bad girl:
“At first I wasn’t really keen to it I guess,” explains the actress. “I wanted to be the nice girl and play the sweet girl, but as it’s gone on, it’s been a lot of fun. I love hearing everyone’s reactions after we do takes. They’re just like, ‘God you’re evil! It’s been a challenge, but an enjoyable one.” Despite Jelena’s antagonizing ways, Logan still believes there’s something that young women can learn from her role. “I don’t know if it’s my character that I would want them to emulate, but I still think there is something about this character that people are going to look up to and respect and love.”
Not going to lie. We’re actually feeling "Hit The Floor." It’s better acting than "SIingle Ladies" at least. Check out the Beauty issue here.

The Deans took over Disneyland Paris (formerly known as Euro Disney) this weekend. And it was all for little Nicole Dean‘s birthday. Check out Swizz Beatz‘s fam putting their differences aside to have some good ‘ol Disney fun…
Looks like those shots Jahna Sebastian threw at Alicia Keys a few years back–accusing Ms. Keys of f*cking producers for tracks (a la Swizzy)–are all in the past. Because everybody at least looked like one big happy family yesterday at Disneyland Paris.
Papa Swizz Beatz took all his kids and two of their mothers to the fabulous theme park for 5-year-old Nicole’s birthday. Her mom, Jahna (far right), was there and so was his wife Alicia with their sleepy son Egypt (who was clearly unimpressed by the whole situation). Swizz’s other sons Nasir and Kasseem, Jr. were there for the fun too. And everyone snapped pics as a fam as Nicole got treated like a princess for the day.
The Bday Crew Euro Disney:) nothing but Love & Support #blessings
Nicole even had her own princess whip taking her around the park.
The kids had tons of fun on the private jet from London (where Alicia was performing for the last week) over to Paris. Fab times.

Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow raised awareness for the anti-slavery movement last night. Learn more about their cause inside and see Alicia Keys perform on "American Idol."
Last night, Jada Pinkett hosted the 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom Event. The evening honored business leaders, volunteers, donors and students who are invested in social and systemic changes that aim to end modern-day slavery. You’ll recall that Jada has done several PSAs about human trafficking and other forms of modern-day slavery as the issue is close to her heart.
Jada’s fashionably eccentric daughter, Willow, supported her at the event, held at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles. The younger Smith turned heads on the red carpet in a stripped pantsuit with a cropped leather jacket and bowler hat.
Jada, who wore a salmon-colored trouser suit, was also supported by singer Nicole Scherzinger, who attended in a sexy white slash-neck midi dress, which she belted at the waist.
After the event, Jada continued her efforts to raise awareness, tweeting her followers, "The #antislavery stats matter b/c they represent real people. We need to share stories that show stats AND dignify survivors. #DSBChat.’"
In other news about Jada, she’s set to produce a romantic drama called Salsa, starring the William Levy, who’s known as "the Cuban Brad Pitt."
And in television performances….
Alicia Keys appeared on "American Idol" last night where she sang "Tears Always Win". Apparently, the singer was a nervous before she hit the stage to performed the Bruno Mars-penned tune tweeting, “Looking at the audience is giving me butterflyz!!!. Feels like I’m trying out for the show too!!!” But Ms. Keys had no need to worry, her vocals were amazing and we’re sure she got America’s vote!

Erykah Badu switched jobs for a day to work for Interview magazine. And her first subject…is hot rapper Kendrick Lamar. Check out what she asked him about how he chooses groupies, who he’s scared of having his business out there and more…
In the latest issue of Interview magazine, Erykah Badu plays reporter and interviews "Swimming Pools" rapper Kendrick Lamar about his cereal, his groupies and more. But our fave answer? His insightful comment about what he envies about women. This could be the reason chicks love his music so much.
Here are the highlights from their Interview chit chat:
BADU: How do you choose chicks from backstage?
LAMAR: How do I choose chicks from backstage?
BADU: Yeah, what is the protocol?
LAMAR: I try not to. [laughs] I’m too scared. Anybody who knows me knows that I’m probably the most scared person when it comes to that because I’m so caught up in the act of sex, of something going crazy, going out of my control. I’m too paranoid.
BADU: [laughs] So you just pass?
LAMAR: I’ve got to because I’ve seen a situation where it got totally out of hand, where something seemed so innocent, and now this person has got allegations on them. It spooked me. This was before my career really started, though—before any “Kendrick Lamar.” And that right there? It changed my whole perception about certain things. I’ll always keep that in the back of my head.
BADU: So who is your asshole-checker?
LAMAR: Who is my what?
BADU: Your asshole-checker—the person in your crew or your family who let’s you know if you’re being a asshole.
LAMAR: I have two, actually. [both laugh] But the main one is a friend of mine—a lady friend who has known me since high school. She has always been someone, since day one, who has said something whenever I’m an asshole, or also if I’m doin’ something positive—but more so when I’m out of my element.
BADU: What’s your favorite cereal?
LAMAR: Fruity Pebbles. When people ask for my rider, they think I’m crazy: Fruity Pebbles, baked chicken, bottle of Hennessy, and some Polo socks.
BADU: What do you, as a man, envy about what it means to be a woman?
LAMAR: There’s just a certain knowledge instilled in a woman. There are these things that women have that men just can’t grasp: the understanding of love; the understanding of being; having a certain type of care in your heart and knowing when to be compassionate; knowing how to be a confidante…
BADU: That’s a good perspective. Something I envy that men have is that ability to grow a goatee. I think that’d be really hot on me.
And one of the only normal questions:
ERYKAH BADU: Can you describe how it feels to be in this cyclone of good fortune that you’re experiencing right now? How are you handling all of it?
KENDRICK LAMAR: I always thought money was something just to make me happy. But I’ve learned that I feel better being able to help my folks, ’cause we never had nothing. So just to see them excited about my career is more of a blessing than me actually having it for myself. My folks ain’t graduated from high school or nothing like that, so we always had to struggle in the family—and I come from a big family. But as far as me handling this, it’s a weird feeling because it’s like a blur right now. I think my worst problem is actually living in the moment and understanding everything that’s going on. I feel like I’m in my own bubble. People tell me all the time, "You’re crazy, going there by yourself," because it wouldn’t have soaked in yet that I’m supposed to be quote "Kendrick Lamar"—whoever this guy’s supposed to be. I still feel like me. So it’s really about me trying to adapt—that’s like the toughest thing for me right now. I feel like I’m in my own world.
