Jennifer Lopez came out the gate swinging tonight at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.  Feathers, sequins and all.  Check out her "Live It Up’ performance with Pitbull, plus will.i.am and Justin Bieber and David Guetta with Ne-Yo and Akon inside….

Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull indeed did their best to "Live It Up" on stage at the MGM Grand tonight.  Check out J.Lo’s newest performance for her dance anthem above.

 

 

will.i.am and Justin Bieber did a futuristic style performance of "#thatPOWER." off will’s #WillPower album.

"Q.U.E.E.N." singers Erykah and Janelle showed up looking like perfection at Sunday night’s BBMA’s at the MGM Grand to introduce their idol, Prince.  Check out their salute to him above.

So Nicki Minaj took the stage at the MGM Grand in Vegas tonight.  And she gave everyone at (and watching) the 2013 Billboard Music Awards a parting gift….visions of her ASSets thrown all in the camera.

While performing "High School" with Lil Wayne, we were actually about to give Nicki props for actually having a hot stage presence we hadn’t seen with her yet. 

But then the Best Rap Artist winner took it to the ratchet ASStasticness, her usual lap dance, and private pat downs that we maybe liked…but definitely cringed about.  Those pre-teen Barbs are gonna have lots of new dance moves for summer school…

Hmmm.  Rihanna was busy in NYC seemingly unbothered by the breakup and Chris’ new tweets to Kae.  And that’s a good thing.

Chris Brown Readies Aaliyah Collabo, Nabs Performance Spot & Nomination At 2013 BET Awards

As Chris Brown was on hand at the ICON Ultra Lounge in L.A. today to help announce the 2013 BET Awards nominees, he dropped a little nugget of his own that his frenemy Drake may not love.  Check out what Breezy said about his new sing featuring Aaliyah, and what to expect at the upcoming Awards…

Chris Brown, along with Kendrick Lamar, Tamar Braxton and Charlie Wilson, announced the BET Awards nominees today at a press conference.  To kick off the brand new three-day BET EXPERIENCE AT L.A. LIVE, the celebs were on hand to help BET Networks officially announce this year’s  nominees, honorees, performers and special guests for the BET AWARDS.

Comedian Chris Tucker will host while R.Kelly and the "Fine China" singer have already been announced to perform.  And it all goes down LIVE at the Nokia Theater on June 30th.

But it was Chris’ big Aaliyah announcement that has everybody buzzing.  He’s putting out a collabo, using her vocals, for an upcoming track on his new X album.  And we all know Drake’s obsession with Aaliyah, and his own "Enough Said" collabo using her voice.  So we wonder how he’ll respond about his enemy making music using Aaliyah’s likeness.

Chris said this afternoon:

“I got something special for my fans. It’s called ‘They Don’t Know.  All new stuff that’s never been heard before.”

And he already shot the video saying:

“I shot it in the hood.  I went to the Cedar Block. Bringing both worlds together and trying to uplift the poverty side of the community and show them where I’m from. I’m from Virginia, but everybody comes from a broken home or being broke. I remember when I was.”

The above pics were taken and posted on his Twitter timeline on Mother’s Day Sunday.  And they were all taken from a mystery shoot (likely this video) involving elementary school kids and dudes from the hood.

In other news, Drake is leading the pack with 12 BET Award nods, Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz grabbed 8 each, A$ AP Rocky is saying thanks for his 4, and Miguel grabbed 4.  Chris’ on again/off again lover Rihanna, as well as Justin Timberlake and Kanye West, all copped 3.

Peter Thomas, the husband of "RHOA" star Cynthia Bailey has created an award show that will honor reality stars and all their ratchet behavior with the announcement of "The Unscripted Reality Awards." See who turned out for the announcement inside….

"LAHH ATL" star Mimi Faust was among the "talent" who came out for the announcement of The Unscripted Reality Awards.  Created by The Peter Thomas Entertainment Group, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Benzino and David Mays, their press release says, 

"The UnScripted Reality Awards will honor individuals who star in the plethora of reality shows that entertain and intrigue us.  Just as the film community has the Oscars, the music community has the Grammys, and the television community has the Emmys, this award show will bring focus to the genre that is steadily making a huge mark on popular culture."

Yes….you read that right.  And we can only imagine the categories:  Best Fight Between Two Baby Mamas; Most Outstanding Deadbeat Dad; Best Bar Brawl; Best Pop Vocal Performance By A Chick With No Real Talent….the award nominee list could be endless.

Django Unchained star Kerry Washington made a bold statement on the red carpet with a long sleeved black dress with a yellow skirt and train from the Michael Kors Fall 2013 RTW collection.  The fashionable "Scandal" actress made the look effortless as she hit the carpet solo, as well as with her co-star Jamie Foxx.

And he also copped the "Best WTF Moment" award with Samuel L. Jackson for their scenes in Django Unchained.
