Despite dropping the "Yung Rapunxel" video a few weeks ago, rapper Azealia Banks has been suspiciously silent.  Find out why she’s been off social media inside and see some of Beyonce’s crazy demands for her "The Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour rider.

There was a time when we’d hear about controversial rapper Azealia Banks beefing with someone at least once a month.  From Iggy Azelea and T.I., to Angel Haze and A$ AP Rocky, Young Rapunxel was never at a loss for words…until now.  

Though the “Liquorice” rapper dazzled on the blue carpet for the Ferragamo "Launch Of L’Icona" this week (shown above), fans will notice that there have been very few tweets from the rapper. We’ve now discovered that she’s taken a page from Chris Brown’s public relations playbook and turned over her Twitter account to her record label. And in addition to the silence, her debut abum, Broke With Expensive Taste, has been pushed back again.

The fiesty rapper has been in the studio with Frank Ocean’s producer Om’Mas Keith. “I was very pleased to find out that she was an amazing artist, an artist’s artist,” Keith told Rap-Up TV. “The stuff that I worked on is very refreshing and creative.”

Maybe now…she’ll have time to focus on creating a hit album and not stirring up trouble.

If you plan on booking Beyonce & her Mrs. Carter Show, get ready for a list of demands fit for a queen.  Thanks to Australia’s newspaper, The Telegraph, we’ve been clued in on a few of Queen Bey’s demands, which some critics are calling "insane."  But if you’ve ever seen Mrs. Carter live, we think she deserves WHATEVER she wants.  So far, we’ve learned she’s demanding the most.  And we kinda love it.

• $ 900 worth of titanium drinking straws for her dressing rooms (used to drink a special alkaline water that’s served at exactly 21 degrees!)
• Everyone in the crew must be dressed in clothes made of 100% pure cotton (to prevent her from having an allergic reaction)
• The dressing room must be painted off-white
• Every toilet seat (in each venue) must be brand new
• Bathrooms are stocked only with red toilet paper
• A hand-carved ice-ball (to cool her throat after performances)
• Glass platters of almonds, oatcakes and green-only crudités (no junk food allowed)

And for her 2013 performance at the Super Bowl, she supposedly demanded Blue Ivy’s $ 22,000 cedar crib be shipped from New York to New Orleans, and her personal dressing room be stocked with $ 6,000 worth of imported cigars and alcohol for Jay-Z.

The source defended Bey’s demands saying,

"She’s extremely regimented and is taking everything extremely seriously, so she expects her list of demands to be adhered too and every detail be taken in.  Working so hard and with the toll the travel takes on her body in addition to the intense shows, she feels that her requests aren’t too much to ask for as she wants to ensure everything goes to plan."

AGAIN….whatever Beyonce wants….Beyonce should get.  And everyone will deal….

Yung Rapunxel is here.  Azealia Banks took time away from her many Twitter Beefs to actually drop a hot video for her lead single "Yung Rapunxel."  The breathy and dance tempo track gets laced with her usual hard core flow we love.  And the video is giving us a Crystal Waters 90′s vibe.  Check it out above.

Azealia Banks has dropped a video for her "No Problems" single from her major label debut.  Watch the Yung Rapunxel’s festival-inspired clip inside and hear Young Jeezy’s "R.I.P." (Remix) featuring YG, Kendrick Lamar and Chris Brown.

As fans count the days until the long-awaited release of her Interscope debut Broke With Expensive Taste (April 16), Azealia Banks has unleashed a clip for her "No Problems" single.

Though originally intended as an Angel Haze diss, the clip takes on a life of its own as Yung Rapunzel rocks the mic at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. With her long weave, she sways from side-to-side while rapping into her iPhone and doing high kicks with her background dancers. Diplo and Steve Aiko also make cameos.

Young Jeezy has updated his 2 Chainz-assisted track "R.I.P." with a remix that calls YG, Kendrick Lamar and Chris Brown to the mic.  During his part of the track, Chris Brown raps “If you started from the bottom, gon’ and come out the closet", which might be a slight dig at Drake and his sexuality. Hmmm…shots fired?

Azealia Banks has finally released the first official single off her upcoming Broke With Expensive Taste studio album.  Listen to "Yung Rapunzel" inside and see Azealia’s twitter beef with Rita Ora, whom she just called "Rihanna’s understudy."

It’s been a long time coming but Azealia Banks’ debut studio album may actually see the light off day.  One good sign that the album is coming is its first official single, "Yung Rapunxel."  

It remains to be seen if this song, produced by Lil’ Internet, will become a worldwide smash like "212" but it does keep in line with the Azealia Banks mantra of fiercely aggressive lyrics and a pulsating club beat.  And don’t bother trying to compare Azealia to any other femcee in the game because this ain’t old school.  It’s hip hop from the future.

Much like Chris Brown, we’re beginning to think that Azealia should be banned from Twitter.  Now…she’s beefing with the British bands she’s currently touring with.  First, she went off on Stone Roses and accused them of trying to ruin her stage show. When some of the band’s crew members began doing a soundcheck during her set at Australia’s Future Music Festival on Friday.  Azealia accused them of working with her former manager (the one she fired), whom she said, "made a pact with the stone roses [to] sabotage my set because I fired him".

She continued,

"Wow! I must really fucking be a superstar. You’ve got an established band trying to sabotage my lil rap bitch shine … A bunch of old white men trying to bully a young black girl … Fuck those old saggy white niggas stone roses. I wish them nothing but excrement and death."

After her post, Azealia says she nearly got into a fist fight with Ian Brown, a member of Stone Roses (and it turned her on!)….

Sidebar:  You’ll recall that Azealia accused her former manager of putting his hands on her, and now she’s making subtle comments on Twitter that suggest she likes "aggressive arguments."  This won’t help her case….

From there, she really jumed all over Rita Ora with a series of nasty comments.  First she called Rita "thirsty" and "Rihanna’s understudy."

Then…..she accused her of "intimidation."

Then Rita responded in a text to Azealia, which Azealia posted for some reason…..

We admit that sometimes Azealia does seem justified in some of her rants.  Her beef with the producer of the "Harlem Shake" caused a stir, and now the producer seems to be involved in his own legal mess behind his use of unauthorized samples. A few weeks ago,  he made her pull her version of "Harlem Shake" off Soundcloud, saying it was unauthorized.

We hope A.B. will step away form the computer and get this album done.  But with tweets like this….

It seems like Azealia LOVES the drama.

We’ve been talking about Ciara’s upcoming One Woman Army disc for over a year now and though it hasn’t gotten a release date, we do know that she’ll revisit her ATL roots on an upcoming single called "Body Party."  The track samples the ATL bass classic "My boo" by the Ghost Town DJ’s and is a sexy mid-tempo track that listeners can dance to….or grind to.  She tweeted, "My Body’s Your Party Let’s Get It Started…"

Before her highly anticipated album, Broke With Expensive Taste hits the stores, Azealia Banks had dropped yet another buzz single which she hopes will catch fire on the radio and in the clubs. The song, "Barely Legal" is a dance club remake of a rock and roll single by the band The Strokes. Luckily, Azealia can pull this kind of music off without batting an eyelash.

Azealia Banks just dropped the video for her "Harlem Shake Remix."  Just to prove she really doesn’t care what creator of the (new) song, Baauer, had to say about her using his track.

Azealia Banks loves to stir the pot of drama.  But this time, we don’t really think it’s her fault. 

This "Harlem Shake" craze taking over Youtube and everywhere else–where one person in a group starts dancing to the Electro House track, then the camera cuts to everyone in the camera shot doing their own crazy dance once the beat drops.

So Azealia took the track and rapped over it for a remix.  Something often done by rappers and singers int he business who want to put their own spin on things.  And rarely–especially if they are not selling it–do they need to get permission to do so.

When "Harlem Shake" creator Baauer (no, not the one we’re used to hearing/seeing Diddy do back in the 90′s…this is some new ish..but we were confused to) heard Azealia’s remix, he went off on her via Twitter and had her remix snatched off Soundcloud on Valentine’s Day. But we’re sure if Jay-Z had laid some tracks on that mug he would have been saying "Thank You."

Azealia took to Twitter to respond to Baauer, who tried to block her remix of his surprise hit "Harlem Shake." She responded to the Mad Decent artist by calling him a "pussy" and stating that he doesn’t "belong in hip-hop."

After musician Brillz wrote that they were "too busy making tunes for u to steal tho," the Harlem native fired back, "you guys are all fagots… May you drown in faggotry."

Lil’ Wayne has teamed with Drake and Future for his latest video "Love Me." Watch the clip inside and listen to Azealia Banks remix "Harlem Shake."

Rapper Lil’ Wayne’s latest video "Love Me" featuring Drake and Future shows him rapping in a room swimming with women…literally.  He thanked Drake and Future for participating saying,

“I appreciate them for even doin’ this ’cause I’m quite sure they hella busy just like I am, but I ain’t never too busy to get in bed with three women with water everywhere.”

The video was directed by Hannah Lux Davis while the track was produced by Mike WiLL Made It.  “The concept of the video is really just to create awesome scenery, a scenery that everyone wanna be in,” he said of the clip.

It appears on his upcoming album I Am Not a Human Being II, due March 26.

Harlem-native Azealia Banks has jumped on the "Harlem Shake" craze and recorded her own remix to the viral hit.  But don’t assume she’s trying to be trendy.  She tweeted, "I actually did my version of "Harlem Shake" months ago and was trying to clear for my album… then this all happened!"

In case you didn’t notice, Nicki Minaj marked her return to Twitter over the weekend tweeting,

“I really didn’t plan on leaving barbz! =( just sorta happened…I learned a lot on my little sabbatical tho… so enlightening, so peaceful."

Her absence didn’t make headline news like it did when she completely deleted her Twitter account a while back, but she told fans,

"I didn’t leave barbz, I was still here in spirit and u guys KNOW that so stop with the dramatics!!! LMAO.

And Barbz should expect a lot more than tweets out of Nicki this year as she expanding beyond her popular Pink Friday scent and launching a new line of accessories, housewares and fashions. 

The planned parternship was revealed to the NY Post and spearheaded by Charles Koppelman, the former EMI, Steve Madden and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia boss. While working on a similar deal for Adam Levine, Charles plans to launch a Nicki-headed collection with a retail giants like Target, K-Mart or Wal-Mart for the holiday season later this year.

Looks like Barbz will soon have their choice of Pink Friday plates, pillows and pants to pick from.  Interesting…

In other rap news…..

Azealia Banks spent last week playing defense as she fended off attacks from Angel Haze and a certain blogger which prompted her to drop the "F" bomb.  But no matter how turnt up Azealia might have been, fans didn’t give her a pass for her use of the gay slur and GLAAD issued its own public statement saying,

“Banks’ claim that the word "fa**ot" doesn’t mean a gay male is not true. Regardless of her intent or her personal definition, what matters is the meaning given to that word by those who hear it, and the damage it causes when they do.

“Undoubtedly there are gay kids who follow her on Twitter who hear this word in an entirely different context. This word is used almost universally by bullies, often as part of a larger verbal or physical assault. This word hurts those kids, no matter what Banks meant by it.”

Azealia went back to Twitter (which probably wasn’t the best idea) and attempted to explain yet again why her use of the word wasn’t that bad….

With most people questioning whether Azealia still has a record deal, if she’s still with her manager and if she still has anyone guiding her career, it’s safe to say she and Fantasia should take a page out of Chris Brown’s 2012 playbook and take a Twitter break.  The more they tweet…the worse it looks.

“I think that too much fashion attention as an artist can actually smother you. And it can actually really, really distract from your music. And I kind of almost got there with it, you know what I mean? Where it was like, fashion fashion fashion fashion fashion. And I was like this fashion darling. I was putting out records… and the only record anyone would listen to was “212″. That was the only Azealia Banks record that anyone knew…”

You can very easily get sucked up by the fashion world, because they bring artists in to make themselves look a certain way, and then as soon as someone new comes up, they’ve completely forgotten about you. They’re so fickle. If you place your faith in the fashion world, you will get let down.”
