Chris Brown Readies Aaliyah Collabo, Nabs Performance Spot & Nomination At 2013 BET Awards

As Chris Brown was on hand at the ICON Ultra Lounge in L.A. today to help announce the 2013 BET Awards nominees, he dropped a little nugget of his own that his frenemy Drake may not love.  Check out what Breezy said about his new sing featuring Aaliyah, and what to expect at the upcoming Awards…

Chris Brown, along with Kendrick Lamar, Tamar Braxton and Charlie Wilson, announced the BET Awards nominees today at a press conference.  To kick off the brand new three-day BET EXPERIENCE AT L.A. LIVE, the celebs were on hand to help BET Networks officially announce this year’s  nominees, honorees, performers and special guests for the BET AWARDS.

Comedian Chris Tucker will host while R.Kelly and the "Fine China" singer have already been announced to perform.  And it all goes down LIVE at the Nokia Theater on June 30th.

But it was Chris’ big Aaliyah announcement that has everybody buzzing.  He’s putting out a collabo, using her vocals, for an upcoming track on his new X album.  And we all know Drake’s obsession with Aaliyah, and his own "Enough Said" collabo using her voice.  So we wonder how he’ll respond about his enemy making music using Aaliyah’s likeness.

Chris said this afternoon:

“I got something special for my fans. It’s called ‘They Don’t Know.  All new stuff that’s never been heard before.”

And he already shot the video saying:

“I shot it in the hood.  I went to the Cedar Block. Bringing both worlds together and trying to uplift the poverty side of the community and show them where I’m from. I’m from Virginia, but everybody comes from a broken home or being broke. I remember when I was.”

The above pics were taken and posted on his Twitter timeline on Mother’s Day Sunday.  And they were all taken from a mystery shoot (likely this video) involving elementary school kids and dudes from the hood.

In other news, Drake is leading the pack with 12 BET Award nods, Kendrick Lamar & 2 Chainz grabbed 8 each, A$ AP Rocky is saying thanks for his 4, and Miguel grabbed 4.  Chris’ on again/off again lover Rihanna, as well as Justin Timberlake and Kanye West, all copped 3.

 

BABY BOSH 2: Adrienne & Chris Bosh Expecting Baby #2!

Miami Heat star Chris Bosh and his Instagram loving wife Adrienne are expecting baby #2.  Check out how Mrs. Bosh made the announcement with her son Jackson and stepdaughter Trinity inside….

Adrienne Bosh is gearing up for her second baby with Miami Heat baller Chris Bosh, who’s currently in the NBA playoffs.  And the petite Mrs. announced it with a photoshoot (we know how she loves those) involving her baby boy and stepdaughter.

The basketball wife posted the pics earlier tonight to announce their new addition to the family.  And she said on an NBC 6 news special, which was about her Mother’s Day brunch for underprivileged expectant mothers, that she’s 3 months along.

Adrienne told the group of women the news Sunday afternoon (pictured above at the event with NBC correspondent Roxanne Vargas) saying:

“We’re very excited. We’ve always wanted a big family, so we’re right around that path.  Hopefully two or three more after this and we couldn’t be happier!”

And we must say, Adrienne could have fooled us being 3 months pregnant rocking this curve hugging dress just 4 days ago, with no sign of a bump:

Last year, Chris jetted back to Miami during the NBA playoffs for the birth of Jackson.  Looks like pregnancy during the playoffs is becoming a tradition.

The other day, soon after he confirmed he and Rihanna have gone their separate way, Breezy tweeted:

She’s not mine if she’s everybody else’s

It no longer appears on his timeline, but everybody saw it.  And everybody believes he’s going at Rih Rih.

So last night she posted this message:

2013 MET BALL Afterparty & Leftovers: Pharrell’s Fiancee Takes A Major Nosedive In Her Heels! + The Knowles Girls & Kim, Frank Ocean & Chris Brown

It’s every girl’s worst nightmare.  But at least it didn’t happen on the huge stage that is the 2013 MET Ball red carpet….it just happened on the way to the afterparty.  Check out Pharrell‘s fiancee Helen Lasichanh taking a nosedive in her black pumps after leaving the Met Ball, plus pics of Frank Ocean, Chris Brown & The Knowles Girls having some fun after the gala….

 

Damn homie.  Those tricky cobblestone YC streets will get ya every time.  Pharrell’s boo Helen may have looked fab in her new pixie cut and blue jumper, but those pumps failed her in the sketchy cobblestone streets. 

She was spotted falling over and suffered a major wardrobe malfunction.

If you’re waiting for sweet messages from Rihanna to Chris Brown on his birthday today, you’ll be waiting a while.  Because Chris just revealed publicly that he and Rih Rih have gone their separate ways.  And he’s seeing other girls.

Breezy rang in his 24th birthday in Vegas last night.  But it was his new interview, with “The Kyle & Jackie O” radio show, that is catching all the attention.

Apparently, the reason we haven’t seen Breezy & Rihanna together in several weeks is because they’re now doing their own thing.  Yep, the poster couple for breakups to makeups is currently on a downturn.  But no worries, Chris says he’ll always love her.

Chris said on the show,

“The way I look at it is… I’m always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs.”

“At the end of the day [Rihanna’s] a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young… and I’m young too,” said the birthday boy. “I just got to step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket.”

And by side pocket, do we mean Karrueche?  Your ex who showed up at you b-day party in L.A. the other night?  Maybe, since Chris went on to say he’s got other women on his mind.

“I want to really see as many girls as possible.  I’m going to do [my birthday] solo. At the end of the day, [Rihanna’s] already doing her thing, she’s on the road…”

Iggy Azelea just dropped her newest video for her track she released for the UK, "Bounce."

 

The Aussie rapper is well on her way to releasing her debut studio album The New Classic. And this video was a nod to her love of fantasy. It was shot in Mumbai with elephants walking down the streets and all for goodness sake. Check it.

And Justin Timberlake promised a Part 2 to his already double platinum hit album The 20/20 Experience. Tonight, he hopped on Instagram to show himself recording some tracks in the studio while playing the guitar….and the release date was revealed as September 30th. Get suited up, it’s coming…

THE PRE-PARTY: Chris Brown KICKS OFF Birthday Weekend…With Karrueche Tran & Christina Milian!

While Rihanna‘s on the east coast on her Diamonds World Tour, Chris Brown kicked of his birthday weekend with a few friends AND Karreuche Tran in LA. See pics inside….

Though he doesn’t turn 24-years-old until tomorrow, music’s "bad boy," Chris Brown kicked off his birthday weekend with a slew of friends (including Christina Milian, David Hasslehoff, and Topshop heiress Chloe Green) at LA hotspot Emerson last night.

And if you’re wondering if Rihanna was there…she wasn’t.  RiRi is in New York for her "Diamonds" World Tour, and sources told Hollywood Life that the pair haven’t seen each other for a while…due to work commitments. 

“It’s up and down and sometimes the s**t is even sideways. Every time some s**t pop off between them, they blast that s**t on social media, and they shouldn’t. But when they’re far apart, that’s how they act out toward each other when one of them doesn’t get their way. It’s crazy as f**k, but it’s how they get down.”

 

But Chris wasn’t without female attention at Emerson.  Though they weren’t photographed together, pics show Chris’ former flame Karrueche Tran was there to celebrate with him.  She rocked a cute look of white Giuseppe Zanotti fringed boots and a black mini dress (check the pics here).  As we’ve told you, Karrueche (show above in a pic she tweeted yesterday) has remained very close to Chris since their break-up, especially since they are partners in her clothing line The Kill.

R.I.P. Rapper Chris Kelly DEAD At 34

Rapper Chris Kelly, of the famed Hip-Hop duo Kris Kross, died at a hospital in Atlanta, GA today.  He was 34.  More details inside…

 

Chris Kelly, the 34-year-old rapper who rose to fame in the 90s as one-half of the backwards dressing rap duo, Kris Kross, was pronounced dead earlier today at an Atlanta hospital.  

A spokeswoman for the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Officer told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Chris was found unresponsive at his home on Wednesday and transported to the Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.  An autopsy is planned at the medical examiner’s office for Thursday morning to determine the cause of death.

We last saw Chris when he reunited with Chris Smith at the 20th anniversary concert for Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label.  He will be missed.

Chris’ mother and The So So Def Family released a joint statement saying:

“It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backwards pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris – the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him.”

For the cover of his band new single he just dropped super late Monday night, "Cole Summer," we see an older white woman–who resembles his mother Kaye–mysteriously heading to a USPS truck. And it foreshadows the news…and music…to come.

"Work Out" rapper Jermaine sampled Lauryn Hill & D’Angelo’s classic "Nothing Even Matters" and sped it up a bit for his new real-story style track. Check out the new "Cole Summer" below, and get ready for the June 25th release of Born Sinner.…

Does this track have anything to do with Breezy’s latest drama of UNfollowing Rihanna on Twitter, hinting at more relationship strife, and then following (again) his ex Karrueche?  Hmm…

Rihanna POSTS Controversial “Drinking” Flicks, Chris Brown’s Dad FEARS Her “Party Attitude”

As Rihanna shared backstage drinking pics over the weekend, Chris Brown’s dad opened up about her "party attitude" and why he didn’t want them back together.  Find out what he said inside….

Rihanna is infamous for posting controversial pics of her bad behavior, and this weekend was no different.  As she took a bottle straight to the head on Instagram, she captioned things like "Getting bent back here! #DWT #backstagelife" and "Po it thee phuck up!!! #backstageproblems"

These antics have raise eyebrows among those close to the pop star, including Chris Brown’s dad! In an exclusive interview with the NY Daily News, Clinton Brown revealed that he is NOT "Team Rihanna" saying,  "I personally really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together."

So who would Clinton prefer his son date?  The answer might shock you.  “I personally liked Jordin Sparks. She’s a wholesome young lady, very pretty.”

When asked why he doesn’t think the relationship with Riri (shown above with bestie Melissa Forde) will last, Clinton said,

"You have to have a balance in a relationship. You have to have someone who is spontaneous and whimsical but you also have to have someone who is grounded and logical.”

And for folks wondering why Clinton casts a doubtful eye on Riri, even after his son was convicted of assaulting her in 2009, he says the "assault" wasn’t one-sided. 

"One has to assume because they are back together that it wasn’t one-sided.  You just have to imagine it was a circumstance in which they both had a disagreement.”

In the future, he added that Rihanna would make a great mom…once she slows down.  But he doesn’t see it happening with Chris.

“(Rihanna) would make a good mom. I think she would probably have to change some of her antics — the party attitude would probably have to change. I don’t think they would just whimsically and spontaneously have a child with them being in this mode. That’s why I don’t see it happening — but anything’s possible, man.”

 

It’s interesting that Clinton was so forthcoming about Rihanna’s "party" lifestyle.  We can’t wait for the interview where he addresses his son’s "issues."
