Tamar Braxton dropped her Tamartian friends favorite “Hot Sugar” a little over a month ago and it has been rumored that she was upset about the actual production of the video. Shortly after the video dropped, Tamar received lots of flack from it and has been since angry about how everything turned out. We all know it was one of her favorite “ratchet” songs off her “Love and War” album.
During a recent interview, Tamar dished on what inspired the Beyonce-like “Hot Sugar” video.
I thought it was brilliant. A lot of people are close-minded. It’s okay for men to dance in kilts! So what? It’s fashion, kids. There is life outside of your living room. It’s up to us—us being people who have seen the world and been around the world—to show you. How else are you going to see it?

It’s no secret that Tamar Braxton was out of the limelight for a few years, 13 to be exact.
She may have been gone, but she is back now and doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. During a recent interview with Flaunt magazine, she dished on what it was like to be on a 13 year hiatus.
I really wanted to make my first album to be as transparent as I am, and it wasn’t something that was accepted. Stars back then were very laidback and you didn’t know about their personal lives. I felt like my first album was like a karaoke album. I couldn’t sing the songs I wanted to sing. So, I think that was what drove my hunger to have a record that I can finally be myself and write the songs that I want to write. It was a big step for who I am.
Well we’re glad she’s back!
Tamar Braxton has made it very clear that she’s not having another baby even though she loves her son Logan.
During a recent interview, she dished on why she’s not getting pregnant again and talked about the things people didn’t tell her about pregnancy.
Check out the excerpts below:
On having more kids:
Well, I’m not having any kids in the future. God no. I hated being pregnant. I felt like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It’s beautiful and it’s great just like everyone says, but there’s another side to it. My back. My feet. My skin went absolutely nuts. I had the itchies the whole day. Imagine scratching all day and you can never get to the itch.
On what people didn’t tell her about being pregnant:
Yes. People lie to you. I was one hundred percent open and honest on Tamar and Vince because I was upset. I didn’t instantly connect with my baby, and no one told me this was common. I was jealous because Vince and the baby connected instantly. It’s not that I didn’t love him; it’s not that I didn’t want to connect with him. I was upset because I didn’t instantly connect with him. I didn’t cry when I first saw him. I was confused. I was like, “What do I do now?”
Everyone loves Tamar Braxton’s single “Love and War” because it speaks to so many people and their relationship.
During a recent interview with Flaunt magazine, Tamar dished on what inspired her to write “Love and War.”
The first season of Tamar and Vince [Vince and I] went through a lot in our relationship. We call ourselves Velcro because from the moment we decided we were going to be together, we’ve been together every single day. When Vince got sick, our relationship changed. We started going through a lot of relationship problems and communication problems. When I was writing “Love and War,” it wasn’t a negative space, but it was an honest space. This was the first time I had experienced not just love but passion. There’s a difference between love and passion, and I didn’t know that.
K. Michelle is just one day away from her upcoming 19 city “Rebellious Soul” tour and she has been making her rounds promoting and keeping herself fresh on her fans mind.
The “V.S.O.P.” singer sat down for an interview with ‘The Skorpion Show’ and dished on her album and upcoming tour “Rebellious Soul,” her switch to the original version of “Love and Hip Hop” reality show, her breakup with NBA baller Lance Stephenson and her beef with Tamar Braxton.
I know I’m a lot. And to ask a 23-year-old to understand this job too… and being 23 trying to date somebody you never dated… an artist or things like that. Then you’re in the NBA and you want to sling di**. I’m not having it.
After five long years of making her first appearance in the hit stage Broadway play “The Color Purple,” Fantasia headed back for the play “After Midnight.”
During a recent interview with Playbill, she dished on what it’s like being back on Broadway.
It’s totally different from The Color Purple — musically — and my role [in After Midnight] is not as grueling as playing Celie. I always said I didn’t think I would ever do Broadway again. They would ask me, and I would say, “I don’t think so.” About a week before [producer] Scott Sanders called me, I was listening to nothing but jazz, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway. I said, “I’m fasting from the radio. I don’t want to hear no new school. I just want to go back and hear classic, old-school jazz music.” My manger called and said, “Scott Sanders called. They said they have another play, and they want you to listen to what they’re saying and see if you want to do it.” So I came to New York and [we] went out to eat, and I said, “Tell me more, Scott.” And, he said, “We’re tapping into the 40s, 50s, 60s, Billie Holiday…” I said, “Stop right there!” He said, “What?” I said, “That’s strange because that’s all that I’ve been listening to.” For me, it’s like I [didn't] have to pray about it or think about it… It’s like I was preparing myself before he asked me… To be a part of something so great.

Rapper Big Sean opened up about writing the Hall of Fame track "Ashley" about his high school sweetheart and how his new chick, Naya Rivera feels about it. Watch the interview inside and find out why Foxy Brown broke down in tears inside….
Rapper Big Sean just hosted a release party for his forthcoming Hall of Fame disc (August 27th) recently and had his gorgeous girlfriend Naya Rivera on his arm. On the new disc, Big Sean included a song called "Ashley" featuring Miguel, which is named for his childhood sweetheart Ashley (whom he broke up with prior to (and likely for) Naya).
While you might think it’s weird to included a song about your ex-girlfriend, Big Sean doesn’t see it that way. During an interview with 106 KMEL, he explained that Ashley is a wonderful woman who was there for him in many ways. He said he wrote the song BEFORE he met Naya and thought that Ashley deserve her own song. Although he hasn’t spoke to her in a long time, he says they are cool.
When asked how Naya felt about it, he said that Naya is ALSO an artist and she understands that you will always be inspired by people from your past.
SIDEBAR: In Naya’s new song "Sorry" featuring Big Sean, she sings to all the ex-girlfriends of her current boyfirend about not being sorry about being with him. At one point, she namechecks an ex-named Ahsley. When asked about it, Big Sean says it shouldn’t be taken so literally. If you say so…

Foxy Brown appeared on RapFix Live alongside Big Daddy Kane when she broke down about rumors and gossip affecting her personal life. Through tears, she said,
"I have tears in my eyes right now because what I’ve been through, you guys don’t understand. The fact that somebody can just lie and it becomes a trending topic, where everybody is talking about it, and you have to constantly come out of the booth and stop what I’m doing to defend a lie."
In the clip, she received some words of wisdom from Big Daddy Kane on going forward. She added, "You know me I’m far from weak, I’m as strong as they get. I have the heart of a soldier, but after a while it becomes let her live. Let her live."
On a positive note, it sounds like Foxy is working on a new album. In between the tears, she said she had to come out of the "booth" to deal with these rumors. Alrighty then….

Singer and tv personality Christina Milian stopped by "The Real" this week where she talked about dating, losing baby weight and rumors about her love life. Watch Christina talk about dropping the weight and getting her butt back inside……
Thursday on "The Real", recording artist and social media correspondent for "The Voice", Christina Milian, joined Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley at the round table to discuss being a single mother to her daughter Violet, losing her pregnancy pounds and what she’s doing get get her butt back! Here are the highlights:
On being a single mom:
It’s difficult at times, but I think we’re in a day and age where it’s more acceptable to be a mom that’s working. And so in cases where we’re in the entertainment industry, I’m able to bring my nanny and she brings my daughter and I spend time with her at lunch break or anytime in between what I’m doing…She comes to the studio. But other times when I can’t spend that time, it’s the morning. I make sure that I make her some breakfast in the morning and we get that hour to two hours in. I usually run late to wherever I’m going. She’s like mommy don’t leave, but it’s so worth it. It’s our special time.
On losing her baby weight:
My daughter Violet is 3 1Ž2 (years old). She is a handful. She’s just crazy, fun. My little best friend. It’s crazy even at that age right now. We’re just so close. But she loves to make me laugh. And she’s just constantly performing. She’s doing new things everyday…I tried to get in shape immediately after having the baby because I was ready to get back to work.
It took me the full nine months of actually being pregnant, a full nine months of actually taking the same weight off. And I’m still not back at the shape that I was before I had a baby.
On getting her butt back:
I like the meat in the new places that it wasn’t at before. It’s like, ‘Oh, now I have some hips and a little something’…I actually lost my butt after I had the baby. I had no booty at all so I had to start working out to get my butt back…I had a big old booty when I was pregnant and then I had her and it disappeared. It made me very upset but I’m glad it’s back.
