Reginae Carter, the daughter of hip-hop king Lil’ Wayne and Toya Wright is growing up!  The Paparazzi Princesses author AND honor roll student graduated from middle school this week with her mom, Toya Wright and dad, Lil’ Wayne there to cheer her on.

Proud mama Toya shared a few pics on instagram of her mom, Wayne’s mom and family friends saying, "I’m so proud of my angel. Honor Roll student on her way to highschool. Beauty and Brains. #proudmama"

As we previously reported, Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush and his fiancee Lilit Avagyan welcomed a beautiful baby girl recently.  And now, we’ve learned her name — Briseis. If you’re wondering where he got the name from, Reggie explained it to Life & Style,

"It’s Greek. We were watching the movie Troy and my fiancée, who was my girlfriend at the time, said, ‘If we ever have a daughter, can we name her that?’ And a couple of months later, wouldn’t you know! The name was picked out months before she was even thought about. It’s crazy."

And the first-time father also revealed that he went through a range of emotions on May 6, the day Briseis was born.

"I was nervous, I was excited, I was scared, I was happy. Every emotion possible was running through me. And then you’re like, ‘I can’t believe this is my baby.’ It was really emotional when I was first holding her."

Now that he and Lilit has a bundle of joy…things have changed.  When asked how fatherhood has changed him, he told L&S,

"It has grounded me more. When you have a child, everything you do is about them," he confides. "You’re thinking about your child first. Everything. It’s grounded me a lot more."

Congrats to the happy couple.

Tamar Braxton DISCUSSES Her BATTLE With VITILIGO, HEALING From Her ABUSIVE PAST, Says She HASN’T Had Plastic Surgery

Reality tv star Tamar Braxton sat for a very candid interview with Ebony.com where she discussed issues with her skin, the abusive relationships of her past and addressed rumors of plastic surgery.  See the highlights inside….

As she prepares to become a mother for the first time, Tamar Braxton sat down with Ebony.com where she opened up about sensitive issues like her skin disease (vitiligo) her abusive past ("one of her ex-boyfriends had dragged her out of her apartment by her hair"), and plastic surgery rumors.   Though we think we’ve seen all there is to see with Tamar Braxton, her interview revealed a vulnerable side that’s never been exposed on camera.  Here on the highlights:

 

On Being Abused:
“I almost had to tell my story to each individual and then I decided that’s not what I’m going to do. I can’t make anybody believe, I can’t change anybody’s mind about anything. (The abuse,) it happened. I’m not all the way comfortable with sharing a lot of what happened to me (yet), but what I said was true. When I’m ready to talk about my abusive past I will, I’m sorry that I’m not. But if it wasn’t for (God), I wouldn’t be here.”

She added,

“My husband (Vincent Herbert) definitely doesn’t abuse me,”


On her struggle with Vitiligo:

Anybody with skin issues knows that that’s a very sensitive subject. And that’s why I’ve never shared that I have Vitiligo, because I do. I’ve always had it, since I was a young girl. It’s not as bad as others because everybody has it differently, but I’ve certainly had mine diagnosed. That’s why I tan. People say, “You bleach your skin!” But I tan just so I can have a better tone on my skin, boo!

It’s gotten worse since I’ve gotten pregnant. If you shake my hand now, to me it’s more noticeable. But when you get diagnosed with a skin disorder, it’s hard. It does weigh on your self-esteem. It really does.

On Plastic Surgery:

"I don’t have plastic surgery. I never had plastic surgery. I had a nose procedure done because I had to. I had no cartilage in my nose, I have a piece of cartilage from my ear put into my nose. I had a medical procedure done. I have no plastic in my nose. And when I shared that with the world, now I have Botox, and different kind of fillers. Now I touch my face, which I never touch my face…Everything is real on me."

But, she hasn’t written plastic surgery off, just yet:

"After I have my baby, I might can’t say that everything is real on me. I might get my breasts done. Who knows if my breasts gonna go down to my ankles–I can’t do that!”

So…Dame Dash Filed Court Papers Claiming He’s Broke, Millions Of Dollars In Debt & Facing Eviction From His MANSION?!

Looks like Dame Dash is way worse off than he has led folks to believe.  Thanks to his new court filing this past Thursday at Manhattan Supreme Court, we’ve learned he’s getting crushed by millions of dollars of debt and may lose the only house he has to live in.

In order to stop his checks from getting garnished, Damon Dash–who formerly boasted having a $ 50 million empire (thanks to Roc-a-fella and Rocawear) about a decade ago–showed up in court in Manhattan on Thursday.  He was fighting a charge of ignoring a 2008 lawsuit from a garment industry lender who wanted payback on their $ 237,078 loan.

And the papers he filed tell all his business. 

The NY Daily News reports:

In a sworn statement asking a judge not to garnish his wages, Dash disclosed:

- He pays $ 24,000 every three months to his ex-wife, fashion designer Rachel Roy, for child support of their two kids, and to cover money owed on the lofts.

- New York state forces Dash to send another $ 4,341.10 per month for support of his son, Christian.

- He paid nearly $ 20,000 in garnished wages in late 2012 for other debts.

- And he faces a pending $ 40,000 tax payment for business earnings.

 

And after losing two of his lofts in Tribeca to foreclosure back in 2010, with $ 7.3 million still left on the mortgages, he’s now about to lose his mansion in Carmel, NY. 

Dame wrote in the 5-page filing, “I am currently several months behind in paying my personal bills.  For instance, I am currently over $ 100,000 behind in rent for the only home in which I live and at risk of being evicted.”

And in an email from his attorney, Gregg A. Pinto, he said, "I’m an independent businessman and this is what comes from business.  I have the guts to fight my battles on my own and it’s entertainment to everybody else because I’m so cool about it."

And by "being cool about it," we guess he meant this interview he did last month.

Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow raised awareness for the anti-slavery movement last night.  Learn more about their cause inside and see Alicia Keys perform on "American Idol."

Last night, Jada Pinkett hosted the 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom Event. The evening honored business leaders, volunteers, donors and students who are invested in social and systemic changes that aim to end modern-day slavery. You’ll recall that Jada has done several PSAs about human trafficking and other forms of modern-day slavery as the issue is close to her heart.

Jada’s fashionably eccentric daughter, Willow, supported her at the event, held at the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles.  The younger Smith turned heads on the red carpet in a stripped pantsuit with a cropped leather jacket and bowler hat.

Jada, who wore a salmon-colored trouser suit, was also supported by singer Nicole Scherzinger, who attended in a sexy white slash-neck midi dress, which she belted at the waist.

After the event, Jada continued her efforts to raise awareness, tweeting her followers, "The #antislavery stats matter b/c they represent real people. We need to share stories that show stats AND dignify survivors. #DSBChat.’"

In other news about Jada, she’s set to produce a romantic drama called Salsa, starring the William Levy, who’s known as "the Cuban Brad Pitt."
 

And in television performances….

Alicia Keys appeared on "American Idol" last night where she sang "Tears Always Win".  Apparently, the singer was a nervous before she hit the stage to performed the Bruno Mars-penned tune tweeting, “Looking at the audience is giving me butterflyz!!!. Feels like I’m trying out for the show too!!!”  But Ms. Keys had no need to worry, her vocals were amazing and we’re sure she got America’s vote!

HE’S FREE NOW! Ja-Rule RELEASED From Prison!

After serving nearly two years behind bars, rapper Ja-Rule is finally a free man.  Get the deets on his release inside…

 

After serving concurrent sentences for tax evasion and gun possession, rapper Ja-Rule was released from Ray Brook Federal Prison (2 months early) in New York this morning.

Sources told TMZ he was picked up by his wife around 10AM and driven home where he will remain on house arrest until July 28th.

Looks like his wife still held him down through the bid.  We expect a street track to drop with Ja announcing his comeback at any time now.

Y’all know how the rappers do…

Jay-Z‘s much anticipated "$ 100 Bill" song off the Great Gatsby soundtrack has hit the net in full.  Check it inside, plus why Ricky Ross is meeting with Reebok again and Kelly Rowland and The Dream‘s upcoming tour dates…

Hov’s full "$ 100 Bill" track is out in full.  He’s executive producing the whole Great Gatsby soundtrack, but his own solo track is one for the road.  Check it out above.

Meanwhile, Jay is doing some good for kids by offering college scholarships to underserved students.  The scholarship, pushed through The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, covers scholarship money for those who wouldn’t typically qualify for a usual scholarship.

He will be awarding cash to single mothers, children who attend alternative schools, students who have earned a GED, students with grade point averages of 2.0 and students who have previously been incarcerated, etc., but desire a higher educational opportunity.

Rick Ross some type of way gt back into Reebok’s good graces.  Because he and Swizz Beatz just had a meeting with the CEO of the sportswear company.  No clue what was on the agenda, but are they negotiating a deal to bring Ricky back as a spokesman after dropping him due to his rape lyrics and failure to understand rape culture?

New stills from the upcoming film Black Nativity starring Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, and Mary J. Blige have been released. See the official photos inside and find out about ASPIRE’s New "Exhale" talk show with co-host Malinda Williams.

New stills from the set of the film Black Nativity (November 27th) just hit the net and we get to see singer Mary J. Blige in her role as a guardian angel…with a platinum ‘fro.

Jennifer Hudson, who plays Naima (the mother of Langston) will also be among the musical talents who lend their voices to the film.  She’ll be joined by Nas, Luke James and Tyrese.

The film will centered around Jacob Latimore’s Langston (shown above) who will discover the true meaning of faith, healing, and family during a Christmas visit to the home of his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs (Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett).

ASPIRE, the cable network started by entertainment mogul Magic Johnson, has announced the creation of a new talk show, "Exhale", targeting African American women.  Styled after ABC’s hit, "The View" the new chat fest will be on limited cable, instead of syndication, co-hosted by actress Malinda Williams, journalist Angela Burt-Murray, actress and comedian Erin Jackson, "Awkward Black Girl" creator Issa Rae, author Rene Syler.

Produced by Lynne Robinson and Black Robin Media, fans can expect to see the shows’ eight-episode first run will kick off in June, coinciding with the network’s one-year anniversary.  ‘Bird’ on a talk show?  This should be interesting….

Aspire’s General Manager Paul Butler spoke of the new gab fest saying, “We are thrilled to add ‘Exhale’ to our lineup of original programming. This fresh, hip and candid new series will enlighten audiences with its broad range of topics relevant to the community.”

Teyana Taylor checked out "The Mrs. Carter Show" during its tour stop through Paris tonight.  See the words of wisdom the Queen Bee passed on to Teyana inside and find out why she banned photographers from her concert….

Teyana Taylor, who revealed that her debut disc with G.O.O.D. Music will drop this summer, partied in the City of Lights tonight with the Queen Bey at "The Mrs. Carter Show."  She tweeted, "Queen Bey. Carried. Snatched. Slayyyeeedddd."

During their conversation backstage, Bey gave Teyana some words of encouragement that she decided to share with her followers on her Instagram account. 

Left the show in tears… Had a lil heart to heart wit The Queen Bey after her show. In other Bey news, there will be no more flash photography at The Mrs. Carter Show!  Due to a series of unflattering photos, Mrs. Carter has stopped issuing press credentials for her world tour. Any interested media outets will have to go through her own photographer, Frank Micelotta, who’s been tasked with taking ALL official photos and distributing them to the press after the show. Of course…..she’ll still alllow fans to keep their cell phones. #truediva

 

BONUS:

During her show tonight, Beyonce debuted her "Grown Woman" single. Penned by The Dream and written by Timbaland, she performed the song in a Kenzo dress, towards the end of her sold-out show at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
