Drake teamed up with his unrequited love Nicki Minaj on his newest track off his upcoming Take Care album.  Check out their "Make Me Proud" collabo inside…

For the official second single, produced by T-Minus, off his new LP, Drake went the quick-spitting route to relay his feelings about the Barb and all the females he respects who are doing their thing.  So it was only fitting to add the chick he’s publicly proclaimed…many times now…that he wants to marry. 

About the emotional single, Drizzy told MTV News:

"Whenever I make songs surrounding women, I always try to find refreshing stances to take as opposed to just like, "Oh, you’re sexy" or "Oh, I want you." The song, it really came up in passing conversation, just being like, "I’m proud of you." "

"Not even necessarily that a woman has to go achieve grandiose things to be proud; it’s just that I’m proud of you for trying. It’s hard to be a woman out here these days, especially to be pretty and especially to be smart and want something for yourself. So I’m just proud of you whether it’s Nicki or any girl that I’ve ever known in my life that’s doing well for herself."

With appearances from Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Keri Hilson, Ciara, Rick Ross and even Jessie J … Lil Wayne’s album release party at Boulevard 3 in L.A. immediately following this year’s VMAs was the place to be!

The event, held Sunday night (Aug 28) after the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards to celebrate the release of Wayne’s new album “Tha Carter IV,” also featured appearances from Shaunie O’Neal, Young Money artists DJ Khaled, Shanell and Lil Twist, rapper Flo Rida, TV personality Rob Kardashian, a couple of Jersey Shore cast members, R&B singer Mario and more.

MTV decided to switch things up and do something different this year by having an indoor red carpet black carpet for the VMAs.

Held at the Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles Sunday night (Aug 28), the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards featured black carpet appearances from several celebs, including Beyonce (who announced her pregnancy), Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Kelly Rowland, Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian, and more.

Oh what a night!  Beyonce overshadowed anything tonight’s MTV VMAs could have been by revealing her new baby bump on the red carpet.  And dropping the mic, opening her blazer, and rubbing her belly during her performance.  But while The Carters were jumping for joy around the Marriott & Nokia Theater about their baby news, celebs were having the best night ever making their grand arrivals.

Nicki Minaj Went to Twiiter  after her cousin was murdered yesterday.

Nicki Minaj sadly announced on Twitter that her cousin was killed in New York yesterday.  She said,

“My cousin Nicholas (also goes by Juse) was murdered last night near his home in Brooklyn, New York.”

She received a huge outpouring from fans and even Jordin Sparks tweeted:

“Sending love and prayers to you and your family.”

The violence has really got to stop. 

Some of your favorite artists stepped out on the white carpet tonight in Las Vegas for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.  Kelly Rowland was a show stopper as she stepped out in a pink Herve Leger bondage dressed paired with nude colored heels.

Rihanna stepped out in a white jumpsuit paired with nude heels. The all white everything makes her hair pop!
