So Nicki Minaj took the stage at the MGM Grand in Vegas tonight.  And she gave everyone at (and watching) the 2013 Billboard Music Awards a parting gift….visions of her ASSets thrown all in the camera.

While performing "High School" with Lil Wayne, we were actually about to give Nicki props for actually having a hot stage presence we hadn’t seen with her yet. 

But then the Best Rap Artist winner took it to the ratchet ASStasticness, her usual lap dance, and private pat downs that we maybe liked…but definitely cringed about.  Those pre-teen Barbs are gonna have lots of new dance moves for summer school…

Wearing a tight pair of black leather trousers with a midriff baring top, Riri was forced to adjust and re-adjust her pants so photographers wouldn’t get a shot of her goodies.

But bare booty views aren’t the only struggles facing the pop starlet.  As her "Styled To Rock" show comes over to the States, her legal team is  embroiled in a nasty $ 5 Million lawsuit with Topshop. It seems the company is making a ton of money selling t-shirts with her image on them…without her permission.  

A source close to the situation says negotiations between the company and Rihanna started out friendly…but took a dive once they only offered her $ 5K.  Insulting! Her camp turned down the offer and Topshop ignored the rejection and sold the t-shirts anyway!  They essentially told her they would do whatever the hell the please.  Now…Riri wants them to pay up. The source told Page Six,

“Rihanna’s management asked Topshop a number of times to stop selling her image and were told, ‘We do what we want.’ They buy the pictures from a photographer, but they do not pay the artist licensing fees. Unfortunately, UK law does not protect the artist.  What is most offensive for Rihanna is that they basically told her, ‘Go to hell. We don’t care; we are going to continue selling you.’

But fans of Rihanna shouldn’t expect to get their hands on any of those shirts here in the States. The source added,

"Topshop is now in the United States. They set up in Manhattan and Nordstrom, but they know better than to do this in the US because they would get in trouble.”

For their part, Topshop isn’t admitting any wrongdoing.  In fact….they seem to pass the buck off on the supplier (though they did CHOOSE to sell the shirts). A rep said,

“This issue is related to a T-shirt provided to Topshop by a third-party supplier. We are aware it is the subject of litigation. [There are] public documents."

We bet chick gets her money.  We’ll let you know how that turns out….

You’ve already seen her Teen Vogue cover, now they’ve released backstage footage and interview clips from Nicki Minaj’s colorful June/July 2013 cover where she reveals the origins of her thick shell and touch girl attitude.  In the clip above, she describes her style as "Euphoric, girly and powerful."  Also, the rapstress talks about her "AI" experience, her most memorable audition and her fashion/music idol Cyndi Lauper.

Nicki Minaj has yet to comment on reports that she’s leaving "American Idol," all on the heels of reports that the entire judges’ panel was fired.  Things are looking to be more and more true.

 

Deets inside, plus Lance Gross’ first trailer for the upcoming NBC show "Crisis"…

A few days ago a report hit the net that all the judges on the Idol" panel were fired.  Soon after, Randy Jackson put in his resignation letter saying he was choosing to "leave" in order to focus on his own projects. 

Now, Nicki Minaj is rumored to be leaving, despite "Idol" reps denying anyone was fired.  Did the network & "Idol" head honchos give the judges the opportunity to leave on their own to save face from getting fired?  That’s what it seems like.

Us Weekly reported yesterday that she indeed had decided not to return next season.

"It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to Idol," an insider tells Us, adding that the "Roman Holiday" rapper will be focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. "She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway."

We reached out to Nicki’s rep about the report, and everyone mum.  Interestingly, a source in her camp told us the rumor of all judges getting fired and/or leaving was false just a few days ago.  Maybe they weren’t aware….

Either way, Nicki hasn’t said anything about the matter yet.  So we’re putting our money on the fact that "Idol" wants to do a total makeover of the judges’ panel, and there’s no room for a Barb.

In other news, hottie Lance Gross is about to return to TV.  The "House of Payne" actor will be starring in NBC’s new drama called "Crisis."

Lance plays a Secret Service Agent on his first day on the job, which is protecting the President of the United States’ son.

The first trailer has emerged, and we’re kinda loving it already.  Lance tweeted his excitement saying:

I dreamt of days like this…. @NBCCrisis #thankful #NBCFall

Nicki Minaj sat down with Ryan Seacrest to talk about her uncomfortable relationship with Mariah Carey and rumors about her departure from "American Idol." See what she said inside and get the deets on Porsha Stewart’s new acting gig…..

 

TV viewers may not know the final three contestants on  "American Idol", but they sure know about the drama at the judges’ table between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.  During a chat with "AI" host Ryan Seacrest for E! News last night, Nicki talked about her famous feud with Mimi and answered if she would be returning next year.

In discussing her "feud" with "Beautiful" singer Mariah, Nicki said they started out as friends…or so she thought.  She soon realized that Mariah was, as hse claims, insecure and threatened by her shine. 

"Imagine someone that you loved your whole life…imagine you meeting them and then all of a sudden feeling like you did something horrible to them but you just don’t know what you did," she told Seacrest. "That’s what my relationship with Mariah is, and that’s what it’s been from the beginning. I just really thought that we were friends, but…that’s the other thing I learned that this industry is so fake. You walk away thinking people are your friends and they’re not. It’s a couple nice hi and byes and then really, you better not step on nobody’s toes. And God forbid you get a little shine. And God forbid you’re maybe witty or quick on your toes or make someone laugh. Then maybe you’re making another person feel insecure. And you shouldn’t have to dim your light to let another person shine."

And when asked if she planned to return next year, Nicki didn’t give a straight answer but offered up a "sales pitch" about how much she loved the show. 

"That’s a million-dollar question," she laughs. "I have to say this all the time, but I want people to know it’s genuinely from my heart. I love the people on Idol. I genuinely do. If I had to do this all over again, I would have done Idol. Because it’s fun, it’s laughs. It’s kind of sad that what people read all the time is only when something is negative. But they don’t realize that we built a family. I feel happy here and I have to thank them for giving me this chance. They could have picked anyone in the world. And they picked me. So that’s all I’ll say about that."

Porsha Stewart has landed an acting gig on "The Rickey Smiley Show."  It’s time for chick to make her own money since her divorce is pending, so she’s going the Hollywood route.  The "RHOA" star tweeted from the set,

"I’ve arrived! So excited on the set of my first TV acting role! Thanks guys my trailer is amazing!  Reading the script. This is going to be so fun!”

Porsha didn’t reveal what role she would be playing or if this is a one-shot cameo, but we think her personality will mesh well with Ricky’s comedy.  And during a hilarious appearance on Rickey’s radio show, she refuted rumors that her divorce was fake and jokingly declined an "application" from Rickey…

Once again, for the second year in a row, Beyonce Knowles took over VOGUE’s 2013 "PUNK: Chaos To Couture" themed Met Ball tonight rocking an eye catching and sexy look from Givenchy Haute Couture.  After last year’s shutdown in the purple & black feather & sheer number, Bey switched it up with a strapless leather bodice and a printed gold and black skirt with a high slit that exposed matching boots, and came with matching gloves.

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington has been on a whirlwind NYC promo tour today hitting up several back to back to back talk shows.  And she pulled it together once again tonight in a gorgeous Vera Wang creation.  Vera stepped outside the box of her usual simple colors and flowy looks to go for a structured multmedia dress with a bold metallic print.  And it worked perfectly for Kerry.

Oh Nicki.  Our darling Nicki.  Not sure if it’s the 80′s hair (yeah, we know the theme is Punk but still) or the dark lipstick with it, but this is doing a bit much.  The dress isn’t doing it for us either.  Maybe it’s because it’s by Tommy Hilfiger and he doesn’t strike us as a red carpet formal gown type of designer.  But, it’s not horrible.

By the way, Tommy gifted her with a Rolex a few hours ago as well that she happily put on Twitter.  Nice!

NY Knicks star Amar’e Soudemire, who plans to come back from injury in Game 3 later this week, attended in a dapper Calvin Kelin suit with a burgundy jacket full of sheen.  Loves it.  And his wife Alexis makes pregnancy look ridiculously fabulous as she rocks a frock full of feathers by Giambattista Valli.  Gorgeous.

Jennifer Lopez got catty in this stunningly glam Michael Kors gown.  Very unexpected look by the all American designer, but the risk paid off because Jenny looks amazing.  As usual, the cheetah style nude and black print dress looks painted on.  And she’s freaking flawless.

Skylar Diggins has announced her arrival at Roc Nation Sports.  Get the deets inside about Weezy’s fave WNBA baller and find out about Nicki Minaj’s new movie role….

 

Earlier today Roc Nation Sports announced the signing of WNBA star Skylar Diggins.  The Tulsa Shock baller was the number three overall pick in the first round of the 2013 WNBA Draft.  And she’s been on the radar of Jay & his new Roc Naton Sports crew for a while.

Skylar, who became the only player in Notre Dame history to be a four-time All-America selection rose to fame as both the "alleged" crush of Lil’ Wayne and as a two-time recipient of the Nancy Lieberman Award, given annually to the nation’s top point guard.

Skylar tweeted her excitement after the announcement….

Skylar will earn her bachelor’s degree in management-entrepreneurship from Notre Dame in May 2013.  And this is another big move for the Roc in just a matter of weeks.  Win-Win for everyone.

Nicki Minaj has just landed a role in the upcoming Cameron Diaz flick The Other Woman.  Nicki will be directed by Nick Cassavetes in the film, which centers on Cameron’s character enacting revenge on her boyfriend after she learns that he’s married.  But here’s the kicker…she teams up with his wife to do the damage!  Sounds like Nicki’s kind of movie right?

Nicki will play Cameron’s sassy, blunt & sometimes lethal assistant in the film which starts shooting in New York in May. Actors Leslie Mann, Kate Upton and Chicago Fire‘s Taylor Kinney also star.  Nice movie Nic!

Ladies love Jeremy Scott.  But decide who rocked the designer’s new modelicious face printed bathing suit best… 

Karrueche tran made her way to Hennessy V.S’s midnight concert featuring Nas for Coachella’s kick off night yesterday.  And she rocked the printed face bathing suit by Jeremy Scott for Adidas ($ 95) with hippie cut off shorts.  She kept it cool with hoop earrings and a necklace as she partied away at the biggest spring music & arts festival of the year.

But we first saw the Jeremy Scott for Adidas bathing suit on Nicki Minaj in her April 2013 spread in ELLE magazine.  She paired her photoshoot look with black Salvatore Ferragamo pants and a simple gunmetal link bracelet.

And it seems to be a popular look for spring as Karrueche’s rival she previously Twitter beef’d with, Rihanna‘s bestie Melissa Forde, rocked the exact same suit yesterday during her birthday pool party:

Nicki Minaj is bringing her signature Pink color to Beats By Dre’s Pill Speakers.  The Pink Pill is Nicki’s contribution to Dre’s multi-million dollar speaker and headphone company.  And her brand new commercial for her Pink Pill aired today.

Rapper Nicki Minaj is back with a video for "Up In Flames."  Watch the clip inside and see what Meek Mill had to say while defending the lyrics of Rick Ross.  

 

Although her "High School" video is barely a week old, Nicki keeps the momentum going with "Up In Flames", another visual from Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded the Re-Up. The Grizz Lee-directed clip focuses on Nicki’s creative process as she works on lyrics in the studio, sits at a piano (which she never plays), poses in front of a room of candles and includes several scenes of rumored boyfriend Sarafee.  Since he’s trying to get on with a solo rap career himself, it makes sense.

In other music news…

As rape survivor groups pressure Reebok to drop rapper Rick Ross from their list of spokesmen, Rick’s protege Meek Mill has stepped up to the plate to defend him and his controversial lyrics. 

During an interview with the Urban Informer, Meek defended the "U.O.E.N.O." song saying, “I don’t even care about nobody criticizing no lyrics. People rap about killing stuff all day. Biggie said, Rape your kid. Throw her over the bridge.’ It was nothing, it was just hip-hop.”

Meek totals blows off the concerns of rape survivors and other activist groups saying, 

"Now you got all these weirdos on these social sites voicing their opinion about something anybody say. I don’t care. I’m from the ‘hood. I never really cared about what nobody say in no rap. Rap’s always been talking about killing, drugs, all types of stuff.”

Smh….that’s a very mature way to look at things Meek.  

He went on to explain that Rick was just being creative and people shouldn’t take it so literal.  “It’s imaginary visual. If a writer write about somebody getting raped in a movie, that mean he a rapist or he want girls to get raped? No, he just wrote about that in a movie.”

Unfortunately, Meek’s "I don’t care" attitude seems right in line with Rick’s half-assed apologies from a few days ago.   These dudes just don’t seem to make a mental connection between what they are rapping about the impact it might have on their audience or just society in general.  It’s pretty sad that they don’t take their own lyrics more seriously.

Nick Minaj has finally released the highly anticipated "High School" video featuring Lil’ Wayne.  Directed by Benny Boom, the clip takes a page out of old gangsta films like Scarface as Lil’ Wayne starts out doing business with Mr. Big, but ends up in bed with Mr. Big’s lady (Nicki).  

The clip features Nicki flaunting her world-famous assets in a variety of bikinis and high-end stilettos, culminating in a hot love scene between Nicki and Weezy.  Now we know where those bikini back shots came from.
