Last night, Candice Glover became the first female to be crowned the "Amercian Idol" in five years. Along the way, celebs like Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson and Aretha Franklin were there to cheer her on. See pics and performance from Mariah Carey and others inside….

As she showed off her baby bump and mother’s glow, Tamar Braxton walked the red carpet last night for the Season 12 finale of "American Idol" where Candice Glover was crowned the winner. Tamar tweeted her support saying, ‘Get it Candice! !! #REALSINGINGSTILLMATTERS’

Meanwhile, as she prepares to give birth, Tamar is riding high on the charts with her breezy summer jam, "The One."

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Frankin, also made an appearance on the show. Via satellite, the queen of soul belted out a medley of hits with a few of the female finalists. She told the two finalists, "Candice, tonight you are a winner, win or lose you are a winner, you and Kree both have promising careers."

And former "AI" contestant turned Oscar-winner superstar Jennifer Hudson returned to perform with Candice. The two dueted with Natalie Cole’s "Inseparable".

Mariah Carey made what might be her last appearance on "AI" (as a judge) last night.

In true diva fashion (with a diamond microphone stand) Mariah performed a seven-minute medley of some of her biggest hits like only she can, including "Vision of Love", "Make it Happen" and "Hero" with fellow "AI" judge Randy Jackson on bass guitar. She also sang her latest hit "#Beautiful".

In a feathered fishtail dress, adorned with crystals, Mimi rocked the stage BEFORE Jennifer Lopez. And with Nicki Minaj AND J Lo in the building, we would have loved to be a fly on the wall backstage. We’re sure the diva-tensions were high.

Jennifer Lopez closed out the show with her latest single "Live It Up" featuring Pitbull. And in case you we wondering, Mariah "smiled" throughout the performance….because she knew we were watching. Gotta love her.

The first official pics from the set of The Best Man Holiday have surfaced and the male lead characters are looking pretty good. See Taye, Terrence and Harold inside….

We told you a few weeks back that some of our favorite YBFers would be heading up to Toronto, Canada to film The Best Man Holiday, and now the first official photos have emerged from the set!

Terrence said last month about the new flick:

"[Director and screenwriter] Malcolm Lee showed us what intelligent young black people were capable of in the The Best Man I, but The Best Man II, it shows where people go, whether they’re doing the right thing or the wrong thing, and how much we need each other within our community."

We see that Terrence Howard, Taye Diggs and Harold Perrineau are looking as good as they did over a decade ago…and their characters seem to be taking a healthy appraoch to cooking. We love a sexy man who knows his way around the kitchen. Can’t wait to see how everybody’s relationships are going in the sequel…

In new shots from her May 2013 British Vogue cover spread, Beyonce keeps it minimal and understated in her curls and natural makeup look. She’s rocking plush comfy sweaters, tanks, casually sexy skirts and striped crop tops with a touch of glam for her spread.

And in her second Vogue cover of 2013, Blue‘s mom is talking about her role in feminism, and her newfound confidence thanks to becoming a mom.

On if she considers herself a feminist: "That word can be very extreme…But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman…’I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it’s something that’s pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept. But I’m happily married. I love my husband."

On her newfound confidence: "I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been. It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, "OK, this is what you were born to do." The purpose of my body became completely different."

On whether she’s supportive of daughter Blue Ivy becoming an entertainer: "I definitely want my daughter to have goals and drive and passion – it has to be a balance."

The issue hits stands Monday, May 8th.

This morning, Beyonce posted a 6 second video of herself looking photo shoot or video fresh in a sexy & edgy look walking toward the camera, and announcing a 4/4/13 date.

No details on what’s going down on that date, other than her 5 year wedding anniversary with Jay-Z, but Mrs. C says #BeyHereNow. A Pepsi commercial? A new single? A new album? A new announcement? Who the hell knows. But it’s likely something big since she’s using her favorite number….

The cast and executive producers of “Crazy, Sexy Cool: The TLC Story" have shared a few flicks from the set. See photos of Keke, Lil’ Mama, Chilli, T-Boz and more inside. And you may just be surprised at how much KeKe now looks like Ms. Chilli….

A few photos from the set of the TLC biopic “Crazy, Sexy Cool: The TLC Story" have emerged and the cast seems to be enjoying the gig. Keke Palmer posed with Chilli–who’s on the set as an Executive Producer and who she’ll be portraying in the upcoming flick.

Lil’ Mama, who’s playing the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, posed with Chilli in between takes.

And Evan Ross is playing the role of Chilli’s baby daddy/producer, Dallas Austin.

Keke also posed a pic she shot with Evan during his last day of shooting.

Chilli’s is still carrying around those hand bags with her son Tron’s face on them.

And the real T-Boz was spotted posing for pics in the wardrobe department as she covered up her famous sideburns and looked at the camera with her "left eye." Ahhh…this outfit is binging back memories of "Waterfalls"….

Richard Williams, the 70-year-old father of tennis champs Venus and Serena was spotted in the stands at Day 4 of the Sony Open with wife Lakeisha Williams and their brand new baby Dylan Starr Richard Williams. Yep, pops is a rolling stone…who can still create babies.

In the April/May issue of COMPLEX Magazine, OKC Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook talked to the magazine about his off-court flair for fashion, which has attracted the attention of the fashion world. Here are the highlights:

On his fearless approach to fashion:

“If you think about what other people say, then you have a problem. “When it comes to dressing up, a lot of people are worried what others think. You just gotta go with it.”

On being a non-conformist:

“I take risks, but I don’t think of it that way.”

On his mother’s influence on his attraction to clothes:

“That’s where it all started…She used to shop for us growing up. But then it got to a point where I was so picky about my clothes that she stopped shopping for me. I had a sense of the style I was gravitating to. I worked for stuff I couldn’t afford.”

On fashion’s finer things:

“Some people may be scared to wear something. I obviously don’t care.”

On wearing glases with no lense:

“No lenses at all. It’s my own flair, man. I know what looks right and what looks crazy.”

On having an "eye" for what looks right:

“It’s natural for me now. I don’t leave the house like, ‘Oh, let me get something crazy.’ I just go with it and see what happens.”

Trend-setting rappar A$ AP Rocky posed for a shoot with "L’Uomo Vogue" shot by Francesco Carrozzini, where he talked to the magazine about growing up in Harlem and its influence on his style.

“I’ve always been interested in fashion, since when I was a kid and used to shop on 5th Avenue. But the real leap in quality occurred when I was 16 years old. I immediately loved Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci. Nevertheless, my approach has always been spontaneous, based on a sort of fashion sense that lets me blend haute couture with streetwear."

He also commented on the changing scope of the hip hop industry and how it is influenced by fashion. "I want this period to be remembered as the ‘Platinum Age’ or ‘Diamond Age’. Currently, there’s a new artist movement that’s rewriting the rules of hip hop and I’m their leader, king, and emperor, that’s for sure. I’m the future of this genre”.

Despite his love of garments, A$ AP said he won’t be launching his own clothing line anytime soon. “In the future I could cooperate with a brand. Beyond that, since I’m not a designer I prefer leaving that task to professionals and to focus on music…this is the dawn of a new movement."

The first night of Rihanna‘s "Diamonds" world tour kicked off with a bang last night in Buffalo, NY. The pop diva took the stage to rock out to tracks from all of her albums, and did it in several colorful and body baring outfit changes.

The set was complete with pyro, a few choreographed routines and more outfit changes than a little bit. She performed every track from her latest Diamonds album, but threw in her most popular tracks from past albums as well.

She switched up from heels to sneakers to boots depending on the look. And the sold out crowd ate it up.

Her Rihanna for River Island collaborator, Adam Selman, helped design the outfits for the tour. He told the NY Times last week about dressing her slim & toned bod, ‘Her body is so insane. It’s the dream body to make clothes for. You don’t have to try as hard.’

After a few weeks break after a very busy beginning of 2013, Beyonce posted some fun pics on her Tumblr and Facebook saying "Back to work" last night. And the fab chick looked fresh faced and cute playing around on a construction cart and in a construction hat…and we wonder if she’s on the set–which is in the making–of her upcoming Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
