As the fate of her TNT show "Southland" hangs in the balance, actress Regina King has signed on for "Divorce: A Love Story", a new pilot being shot for ABC. According to Deadline, the show centers on a recently divorced couple that can’t seem to get their lives together without each other. Regina will play the "diva" wife of the male lead’s best friend.
It’s interesting to see how her real life might parallel the life of the show’s female lead. Though reports say she’s broken up with Malcolm Jamal Warner, her own tweets seem to stress that there is still a friendship between the two…without confirming their romantic status.

After the success of "Zane’s Sex Chronicles" –the original urban style better writen version of 50 Shades of Grey–the cable network has given the green light to "Zane’s The Jump Off." The new series will follow the lives of five fraternity brothers living in Miami, FL. And by the way, her book Addicited is also being adapted for the big screen.
The series begins tomorrow, March 29 at 11PM/10C on Cinemax.

News from Us Weekly yesterday was that actor Malcolm Jamal Warner and actress Regina King had parted ways…at Malcolm’s request. Though the "Reed Between The Lines" star has not spoken out about the alleged break-up, Regina spoke to her fans on Twitter today saying you can’t believe everything you read.
It’s interesting to note that Regina says they "are good," but never explicitly denies a break-up.
So did they or didn’t they? And we’re thinking the "please don’t believe everthing you read" line might refer to Malcolm "not feeling it anymore" OR the part about him asking her and her son to move out of his home.
Though she’s not giving us specific details about what’s happening, we think it’s safe to assume that where there’s smoke….there’s fire. We’ll keep you posted…..

Actors Malcolm Jamal Warner and "Southland" star Regina King are on the outs…and it seems like it was Malcolm’s decision. A source close to the couple confirmed the split to US Weekly saying, "He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore." Damn.
The two celebs have been friends since their early days in Hollywood as child actors (Malcolm was on "The Cosby Show" and Regina starred on "227"), but now things have gone south. Though it took the couple a long time to confirm their relationship, often avoiding paparazzi pics together, the relationship seems to have soured rather abruptly.
Malcolm has allegedly asked Regina and her young son (from her marriage to Ian Alexander Jr.) to move out of the home they shared. The source added, "She’s still very brokenhearted."

XXL and SLAM have joined forces for their first collaborative issue which puts hip hop and basketball (as well as corporate sponsor Reebok) front and center. It’s called the "Kings of the Game" issue and features Rick Ross, Tyga and Allen Iverson on the cover. All three are spokesmen and creators for Reebok. The issue hits magazine racks in New York this weekend and the rest of the country next week.
