The track is an ode to Shanti’s confidence and high-on-life attitude. Check it out below and tell us what you think!
K. Michelle is doing her thing with her music and has released one remix to her “V.S.O.P” song a while back with Young Jeezy, but has now released another remix with Rick Ross. This version of the remix is said to the be official remix for the song.
Evan Ross has been parading his new boo Ashlee Simpson around for the world to see he’s moved on from his ex. Check out the twosome boo’d up in NYC for Ashlee’s sister Jessica‘s Fall campaign launch, plus Kelis doing her out in L.A.
Actor Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson — who was rocking a Jessica Simpson dress — attended the launch of the Jessica Simpson Fall 2013 Campaign hosted by Ashlee at Above Allen in NYC yesterday.
We kinda thought these two were extremely awkward together, but maybe that’s why they might work.
Ashlee, who used to be married to rocker Pete Wentz and they have a baby boy together, also had a romantic lunch date at Gemma before the event. The couple also dined at the east village restaurant and were spotted holding hands and kissing at their table, before hurrying to their car:
Evan keeps himself a chick doesn’t he?
Meanwhile, over in L.A., singer Kelis Rogers was spotted at the Sayers Nightclub in Hollywood with friends last night:
She rocked a quirky mustache sweater, a Chanel bag and her glittery loafers for the occasion:
She also recently had a big waterpark adventures birthday party in Cali for her (and Nas‘) son Knight. Cute!

Fab chicks are at work these days. Paula Patton rocked a sexy white mesh paneled dress while toting her 3-year-old son Julian along in NYC today. Plus, Tracee Ellis Ross is giving us all kinds of diva life in her new spread for Paris’ Coveteur magazine where she also shows off her envious closet.
While leaving the Gramercy Park Hotel today in New York, Paula Patton was spotted on mommy duty, in a body con dress and heels, bringing a Beatles-loving Julian to her taping of "Jimmy Fallon."
The 2 Guns actress picked up her baby boy, snapped him into his car seat, and kept it moving on her busy day of promo. Last night, she rocked a gorgeous Basil Soda gown for the big premiere. Looks like she’s making some good fashion choices this time around.
And speaking of pretty ladies:
Actress and blogger Tracee Ellis Ross gave us fabness in her brand new shoot for Coveteur magazine. The Euro-mag focuses on fashion & luxeness, and seeing that she’s the daughter of a true diva who embodies all that, it’s only right we get Tracee in this type of spread.
Diana Ross’ daughter tells the mag:
“I was spoiled when I worked in the magazine world. Fashion closets are heaven and I seem to model my organization after a fashion closet,” Ross revealed. Each shoe was strategically arranged in an editor-approved fashion and, trust us, she knows exactly where everything came from; don’t even try to test her. “Open any of my drawers and you will think you are in a store.”
Ugh, we so love that. The mag also revealed Tracee had the best vintage collection they had ever seen. And we so believe it.
For the shoot she did everything from button ups and jeans to full out diva gowns embroidered with floral patterns and complete with the perfect hat piece.
Tracee said about her closet (pictured above):
I go through phases: a ring phase, earring phase, no jewelry phase. But, I always love my gold “Tracee” door Knockers. And I love, as you can tell, statement pieces.
Nicki Minaj & DJ Khaled show why that publicity stunt of a proposal was just that….publicity….as their new song "I Wanna Be With You" hits the internet streets today. Check out Khaled’s newest track inside, plus Nicki laughing off his marriage proposal….
"I Wanna Be With You" is Khaled’s newest single off his upcoming Suffering From Success album (out Spetember 24th). He tapped Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross & Future for the track. And now, we can see why Khaled pulled that 10 carat diamond ring out of his pocket and "proposed" to Nicki on video. It’s all to pub the feel of the song.
Nicki hit up Funkmaster Flex‘s show last night to say she never took "her brother" Khaled seriously and it was all just his way of pubbing the track:
“I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world ’cause Khaled is a master at what he does. It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record.”
“Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya’ll. Please let it go. He was kidding. He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me. We’re brother and sister.”
We figured. Khaled still hit up DJ Felli Fel on Power 106 afterwards and claimed that he wasn’t giving up because she could say yes next year. he seemed serious, but we dont believe him.
And the track is exactly what you would expect. Khaled adlibs Kirk Franklin-style, Future brings his most basic repetitive auto tuned "flow" to create a "chorus," Nicki spits about her million dollar punani, and Ricky closes it out with a few bars about his riches. Check it below:

Star Jones was on hand for the Benefit and snapped a pic with Aoki.

DJ M.O.S was on the 1′s and 2′s.
And Danny & his bro Russ posed it up with Russ’ bestie Soledad O’Brian and Tangie Murray.

And coming to the small screen this summer….
Four-time U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Sanya Richards-Ross has signed on for a new WE tv original docu-series, entitled “Sanya’s Glam & Gold.” Premiering Thursday, July 25th at 10pm ET/PT, the show will follow the track superstar’s fast-paced life and high-profile marriage to NFL star Aaron Ross (who’s won two Super Bowl Championships).
The show was filmed primarily in Austin, Texas, which serves as the homebase for the couple who met in college at the University of Texas and married in 2010. Speaking about the show in a WE tv press release, Sanya said,
“I’m so thrilled to have this opportunity to open up my life and marriage to viewers and to introduce them to my incredibly supportive, and let’s be honest, sometimes-crazy family.
I hope that in addition to being entertained by my journey since my victories last summer at the Olympic games, viewers will also identify with the challenges I face—and that all modern women face—to balance work, family, a husband and everything else life throws our way. There’s never a dull moment and things can sometimes get out of control, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
Outside of Texas, the show also filmed in Jacksonville, Florida, New York City and Jamaica. The show is helmed by executive producers Jason Carbone (Tia & Tamara, Run’s House) and Nick Lee (Run’s House, The Bachelorette).

There’s a new high-profile addition to VH1′s hit "Hollywood Exes" and she’s the ex-wife of our fave sitcom boyfriend/hubby of 90s. A new press release from VH1, has revealed that Shamicka Lawrence, the ex-wife of Martin Lawrence, will join the current cast which includes Nicole Murphy, ex-wife of Eddie Murphy, Sheree Fletcher, ex-wife of Will Smith, Andrea Kelly, ex-wife of R. Kelly, Jessica Conseco, ex-wife of Jose Canseco, and Mayte Garcia, ex-wife of Prince.
IndieWire posted a synopsis of this season…
Drea, who has been spending her time between Chicago and Los Angeles, is not happy with Jessica for some choice words she shared with Drea on Twitter. After returning to L.A., she and Jessica will finally have it out, resulting in one of the most explosive – and honest – confrontations in the show’s history. Meanwhile, Jessica struggles with being the single mom of a rebellious teenager – Josie has been acting out and her grades are slipping. Mayte, who has been desperate to have a child, makes plans to adopt a one-year-old baby. The others worry that everything is happening too fast – what if something goes wrong and Mayte loses another child? Finally, Shamicka’s wounds from her divorce are still fresh – her divorce from Martin Lawrence was just recently finalized. Every day brings new challenges that only a Hollywood Ex can understand, but thankfully the others are there to help her find her way.
We’re wondering why Daphne Wayans wasn’t included in the synopsis. Did she make the final cut? We heard rumbles producers may have put her of the show early. We shall see.
The new season of "Hollywood Exes" premieres on July 8, 2013, at 10pm ET/PT, with 13 1-hour episodes.

Meanwhile, Jay is doing some good for kids by offering college scholarships to underserved students. The scholarship, pushed through The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, covers scholarship money for those who wouldn’t typically qualify for a usual scholarship.
He will be awarding cash to single mothers, children who attend alternative schools, students who have earned a GED, students with grade point averages of 2.0 and students who have previously been incarcerated, etc., but desire a higher educational opportunity.
Rick Ross some type of way gt back into Reebok’s good graces. Because he and Swizz Beatz just had a meeting with the CEO of the sportswear company. No clue what was on the agenda, but are they negotiating a deal to bring Ricky back as a spokesman after dropping him due to his rape lyrics and failure to understand rape culture?
Swizzy Instagrammed the pic saying:
Hmmm….this will be some ish….
