TOO MUCH? Tiny’s OMG Girlz On Set Of “Gucci This, Gucci That” Video

Tameka "Tiny" Cottle has her hands full these days with a newly freed hubby, umpteen kids, and the girl group she created, which includes her daughter Zonnique (middle), she’s trying to push to mainstream stardom.  But some folks think the young teens have a look not so appropriate for their age and audience’s age.

Check out the OMG Girlz at their latest video shoot in Atlanta inside…

Breaunna “Baby Doll” W. (16) and Bahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Zonnique “Star” Pullins (both 15) are currently on the road as the SCREAM TOUR’s opening act.  The OMG Girlz are a singing/rapping/dancing girl group (who previously had 2 other members including Reginae Carter) who seem to be all about having fun.

The girls spent their downtime recently shooting a new video for their single titled “Gucci This, Gucci That”.  The also recently signed a recording deal with Pretty Hustle/Grand Hustle Records.  But some folks aroound the net are taking issue with their sheer-wearing, heavily made up looks.

Here’s pics from the set:

I think the girls are pretty cute and stage/video makeup/hair shouldn’t be taken as everyday looks.  But what are your thoughts?

Also, here’s an interview the girls did last month where they speak on who they are, how they all met and the fun they have performing together.

Kelly Rowland Pulls Out of This Weekend’s ‘X Factor’

Kelly Rowland was forced to bow out of this weekend’s taping of ‘X Factor,’ but the circumstances are unrelated to a recent tiff with her fellow judges. Rowland flew back to the states early this week, and apparently fell ill with a viral throat infection, where she has been on bed rest.

The ‘X Factor’ released an official statement this afternoon, saying that the singer and judge on the hit television show is saddened that she is sidelined during this time period. “Kelly is devastated she won’t be here for this weekend’s show,” a rep for the show said. “She is extremely ill with a viral throat infection and her doctors aren’t permitting her to fly. Kelly will be returning to the show as soon as she has recovered. The girls have been in touch to wish her speedy recovery, and they can’t wait for her to get back. More news as we have it.”

Earlier in the week, Rowland had a bit of a fall out with fellow U.K. ‘X Factor’ judge, Tulisa Contostavlos, which fueled rumors that she fled in anger after the fight. A spokesman for Rowland released a statement after the Internet began buzzing about the on-set drama, simply stating she had a pre-planned business trip back in the U.S.

THIS IS THE REMIX: Beyoncé’s “Party” Ft. J.Cole

It’s one of our fave songs off the 4 album, and Beyoncé decided to remix it with her hubby’s protégé, J.Cole. Check out the official "Party" remix inside…

Not gonna lie.  Not feeling this more than the original.  And taking Andre 3000 off the track to add J.Cole had to strictly be a business move.  The rest of the hot track stays in tact though.  Check it below:

Jessica Ashley May Be This Generation’s Mariah Carey

Jessica Ashley

Gino DePinto

PopCrush recently invited 18-year-old Jessica Ashley to our New York office to chat with the editorial team and perform on her handy (and portable) Yamaha keyboard. If you haven’t heard the buzz on this singer-songwriter yet, listen up. She’s good. That good.

And while she’s garnered some decent traffic off her YouTube channel, it’s a whole different ball game when we’re treated to a private concert at the office. Let’s just say her voice had a touch of vibrato and crescendos, even in a room that doesn’t provide the best available acoustics.

A Long Island native, Ashley attended the Clive Davis program at New York University, and was even mentored by Alicia Keys‘ hubby Swizz Beatz. “He really shaped a lot what direction I wanted to go, ” she explains of their studio sessions. “Meeting with him, I’d play a few of records and he would be like, ‘I like this, this suited for you, but this one’s better.’ It was cool having that kind of person looking at my work.”

If the Clive Davis program rings a bell — that’s because Lady Gaga was also enrolled in that program. Ashley even lived in the same dormitory building! “I was trying to figure out who was in [Lady Gaga's] room. I think she was on the third floor and everybody on the third floor was like, ‘yeah, I live in Gaga’s room!’ and everyone pretended to be in that room.”

She adds, “they probably locked that room down, nobody lives in it, it’s just made of gold.” We’re thinking so, too.

But a NY pad isn’t the only thing Gaga and Ashley share — they both made the weighted decision to drop out of the program early. Ashley left last winter, landing a songwriting credit for JoJo and working with heavyweight producer Sean Garrett on her on her debut EP, which should drop sometime at the end of the year. “I was working with [Garrett] for a few months and we came up with some amazing records, we’re still deciding what tracks are going on,” she teases about her EP.

Picking up piano as a child, Ashley didn’t find her niche in songwriting until she was 15. “I really started writing and getting so into it, and the fact that I could make anything into a song is so cool,” she explains. “Ever since then I’ve been co-writing. I didn’t realize how many doors that would open — especially with the JoJo situation; that was something I never though would happen.”

But get this: She can deliver an astounding R&B spin on the ‘The Wizard of Oz’ track ‘Finally Had a Heart,’ and even give Queen B a run for her money on the ’4? single ‘Best Thing I Never Had.’

She’s the answer to this generation’s Mariah Carey. There’s definitely a market for that — don’t you think?

Stay tuned on PopCrush for more news on Jessica Ashley, as more details on her upcoming EP unfold!

‘This Is It’ Promoter Says Michael Jackson Looked Healthy During Concert Rehearsals

While rehearsing for his comeback ‘This is It’ tour, Michael Jackson allegedly appeared strong and healthy said Paul Gongaware, an executive for AEG Live, at the manslaughter trial of Jackson’s attending physician Dr. Conrad Murray. Gongaware said that the King of Pop was energetic and working. AEG was the promoter for the highly touted tour.

According to FOX News, Gongaware’s testimony was meant to illustrate that both the singer and his physician were fully engaged in preparations for the show before Jackson died.

It’s worth noting that AEG is being sued by Jackson’s mother Katherine  for negligent supervision of defendant Murray when he worked with Jackson. She is essentially accusing AEG of pushing Jackson too hard for his comeback tour and not keeping an eye on Murray, whom her son selected as his personal physician for the tour.

At the heart of this argument is just how ready and able Jackson was to embark on his much anticipated comeback trek and if he was being overworked by the concert promoter, as well as how Murray was looking after his famous patient.

WHAT’S BEEF! Ray-J POPS OFF During Interview About SMACKING UP FABOLOUS This Weekend!

Showing off his "gangsta side," Ray J called into "The Breakfast Club" this morning to pop off about punching Fabolous in the face during a brawl the two had in Las Vegas this weekend.  Listen to Ray J fire warning shots and threaten Fabolous inside….

Brace yourself for another East Coast vs. West Coast beef….this time it involves Fabolous and Ray J.  Yeah we barely believe either of them ourselves.

Ray-J called into "The Breakfast Club" this morning on Power 105 to discuss getting kicked out of The Palms Hotel after the fight he had with Fabolous in Las Vegas over the weekend. Of course, they were both there for the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight.

But if the rapper/singer fight itself wasn’t enough, you’ll be SHOCKED to hear Ray-J going off in the interview.

He first called Fabolous the "F" word (emotional much?), then Ray descends into a profanity-laced conversation where he talks about how he smacked the rapper in the face for disrespecting him.  During the interview, Ray threatens Fab and tells him to stay off the West Coast!

The interview itself is a little disturbing because Ray’s "greasy" talk is that kind of mess that gets folks shot.  Among the many many unprintable lines, when asked about Fabolous, Ray said "I’m not playing games.  F*ck that N*gga."

So how did all this start?  A few days ago Fabolous said on Twitter,

"Nah but Floyd saying we havin a concert in my living room & the camera cuts to Ray J singing "One Wish" on the piano had me in tears!!

Get it..? Ray J concert in the living room!! *Lil Wayne voice*"

So Ray J and his camp took this as a diss.

Sigh…these are grown men with public personas and lots of fans.  I hope they squash this silly beef before anyone gets hurt.  Or slapped even harder….

Listen to Ray J’s "gangsta moment" here:

I can’t believe Fab let Ray-J slap him up.  SMDH….

Sound the alarm, Rihanna Navy! The pop star has confirmed that she’ll be releasing a new album this fall.

Fans tweeted at the singer on Thursday, asking about her sixth album, and the 23-year-old verified that she is, in fact, working on her new LP. “Yaaayy I can’t wait to start filling u guys in on some details!!” she added on Twitter.

The upcoming album was rumored to be a re-release of the platinum-selling ‘Loud,’ but the star wanted to deliver a fresh set of songs to her fans. “LOUD is its own body of work,” she said, adding, “Plus u guys work so F?CKIN hard that u deserve to act brand new!!!”

While Rihanna has her sights set on her new album, the singer is still releasing singles from her 2010 LP. ‘Cheers (Drink to That)’ hit radio on Sept. 26, and is currently No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The song is the seventh release from ‘Loud,’ following ‘Only Girl (In the World),’ ‘What’s My Name?,’ ‘Raining Men,’ ‘S&M,’ ‘California King Bed’ and ‘Man Down.’

Should her forthcoming album arrive this fall, it will come just in time for the holiday rush, and position the singer for a lengthy tour in 2012. Nothing has been confirmed, but the outlook looks good for RiRi fans.

LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN: T.I. Out Of The Slammer…Again

After blowing his oppurtnity to get out of jail a week ago…T.I. was released again today into a halfway house.

Deets inside on Mr. Harris’ newfound freedom….

We assume there was no entourage…or reality show cameras…present this time T.I. release.

Clifford Harris got his walking papers today to get OUT of an Arkansas federal prison in into an Atlanta halfway house.

T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told TMZ:

"We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing B.O.P. officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P. rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta.

T.I. will be released from custody on Sept. 29, and then will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for a period of 1 year."

Make it work T.I.P.
